Buttercup crossed the rainbow bridge today 😭

It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do as a dog mom and breeder. No we’re not okay, but we do find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and that we did absolutely everything we could for her. Brian, Jaxon, and I loved her everyday she was here and we are grateful for the time we did get with her.

We learned when she was 7 weeks old that she did, in fact, have a cleft palate along the entire roof of her mouth. After learning this I reached out to a cleft palate rescue to ask for advice and guidance to help her thrive. They were amazing and sent me links for products I needed for her and told me how to go about feeding her. Things were looking good for about a week. She took to her water dispenser almost immediately and was eating so good. Christmas Day her left eye turned completely blue and began to swell. I, of course, brought her to the vet the next day thinking she injured it somehow. Turned out it was another genetic condition that was causing it to swell. Since then we have been trying to treat it with eye drops, saline, and warm compress cleanings. However, it never reduced in size. She could hardly close her eyelids shut over it. It was decided that the eye would need to be removed when she was bigger. However, extensive and costly bloodwork and tests would need to be ran to ensure she could even survive being put under Anesthesia to have the eye removed. Our vet was fairly confident that we absolutely would have found that she couldn’t survive the surgery. On top of all of that she was still also suffering from Failure to Thrive. Even though she was eating well 3x a day her body was not absorbing the nutrients and she wasn’t growing or thickening up. She was nothing but fur and bones. The past couple of days I really started to see an increase in discomfort and lack of energy from her. So today I made the most difficult decision to end her suffering, knowing she was never going to thrive and live a normal life.

A well deserved and very appreciated thank you goes to Dr. Duhon and her staff at Ponchatoula Animal Hospital for being so compassionate and supportive throughout our journey with Buttercup.

Thank you for all who have followed her journey and sent prayers for her. She will forever be in our hearts.

We miss you already Buttercup 😭💜

Just have to brag on Tucker (AKA Nutty Buddy) 😍

His family chose to do our 6 week training program and this little guy is impressing me everyday! He hasn’t had not one kennel accident since we started kennel training! He sleeps through the entire night now and knows the “Sit” command!

I hope all his siblings and the Moo Crew pups are doing as well as him ❤️

Cowboy from Pippi’s Moo Crew! 🐮🐾🤠 I had so many people that wanted a solid black male and still passed on this adorable guy! 🥺 This sweet boy is somehow still available for adoption! His temperament is calm, sweet, and snuggly 🥰 He is going to be one of those dogs that thinks he is a 5lbs lap dog 🥹 He is already lanky, lean, and I expect him to be right at or just under 50lbs. His coat will continue to get wavier but he will not have the tight kinky curly coat. Which this is a good thing for someone who doesn’t want to brush their baby every other day. This type of coat you can get away with brushing 2x per week to prevent matting. Message me for more information and make this your families best Christmas yet! 🎄❤️
