Alba Dog Massage & Fitness Trainer CCFT Helping your dog live their best life! Clinical Canine Massage treats muscular & soft tissue injury

I provide a mobile service to provide massage therapy to your dog in the comfort of their own home. In-clinic sessions can also be arranged - please contact me for details. Clinical Canine Massage is a powerful and effective treatment which can enhance the mobility, flexibility, and the quality of life for dogs of all ages, and whether they are pets, working, agility or performance dogs. an treat and relieve many sub-clinical issues which you may see in your dog, such as reluctance to jump/run/exercise, problems going up stairs, apparent stiffness, signs of slowing down, intermittent limping, lameness, changes in mood or behaviour, plus many other small signs you may notice which can indicate that things are not quite right. Massage can also support many orthopaedic conditions, and be used as natural pain relief for soft tissue injury, muscle strain, arthritis, post-surgical/injury rehabilitation and should be a crucial part of any physiotherapy regime. Having completed the two year practitioner programme with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre, I am trained in Deep Tissue, Swedish & Sports Massage with advanced Myofascial release using predominantly the Lenton Method. This unique type of canine massage relies on extensive knowledge of canine physiology and anatomy, muscle function, fascia and other connective tissue; how to treat soft tissue to improve joint movement, range of motion, muscular tone and overall flexibility and mobility, whilst also stimulating the nervous system. Our techniques yield results you can see and your dog can feel in just 1-3 sessions. Maintenance massages can also be provided for chronic conditions to keep your dog in optimal condition, and enabling me to spot any issues before they become a problem.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a great hogmanay and wish only the best of 2025 to you and your families.

I treated so many wonderful dogs in 2024 (apologies for not keeping up with posts, will try to rectify in the coming weeks!). It has been an absolute joy to help your dogs live their best lives, and thank you for your continued support.

2024 has also taken some very dear dogs from us, all of whom will always have a special place in my heart and who are remembered with love and a smile.

So here’s to 2025! Lets hope it is a good one for everyone and especially all the dogs❤🐾🐾🥂

I made it!! I am now a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT), certified by the University of Tennessee: a programme developed and taught by some of the worlds most respected and highly published vets in sports veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, and canine athletic training.
It was a year of hard study, with case studies, a tough exam, and practicals in Germany (hosted by the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and in collaboration with the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning), but am delighted to now be a CCFT!
So if you would like to improve your dogs general level of fitness, to promote strength, balance and flexibility (especially important as our dogs get older), or get your dog fit for sporting or performance activities, then do get in touch. Exercise programmes are bespoke for your dog and focus on core conditioning, strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness as well as keeping your dog mentally challenged and focused.

Clinical Canine Massage is ideal for pets, working, agility and performance dogs of all ages. It is a powerful and effective treatment which can enhance the mobility, flexibility, and the quality of life for dogs of all ages. Used for natural pain relief, pain management, soft tissue injury, lameness and limping, and post-surgical/injury rehabilitation, clinical massage also has amazing results for dogs with orthopaedic conditions, such as arthritis and dysplasia.
