We have been working with Cali on all of her basics. After only one session we resolved her potty training and crate training issues along with some of her basic commands like sit, stay, come when called and down. It’s amazing how fast a dog can learn new things once you have the right knowledge.

My client spent SO much time watching dog training videos online and trying many different methods and most of them wouldn’t work. She had the effort but she didn’t have the right information. If you want a simple and effective approach to training your dog give me a call. You’ll be amazed at how fast you’ll make progress once you have the right direction.

Boy oh Boy Nacho has gotten himself in a pickle! Our longest resident has torn his ACL and we are looking for monetary donations for his much needed surgical fix. His surgery will cost $2000 and he is looking at a few weeks of recovery as well. If you can donate we can accept monetary donations online at DonorBox, in person or check by mail. Don't forget to mention it's for Nacho!

Now is a good time to start conditioning your dog to loud noises like fireworks. Don’t wait until New Year’s Eve or July 3rd to acknowledge the issue. Complaining about fireworks won’t help but conditioning your dog will. Call me and we can start working on this now. 469 762 9207

Libby is here for being reactive to other dogs and to improve on her basic training. She was super nervous around other dogs when she arrived. She has improved a lot already and I think she will be playing with other dogs before she goes home. We still need to make sure she isn’t reactive on walks at home in her neighborhood which is why we include 3 home sessions after the boarding and training is complete. Great job so far Libby 🐾🐕

When I first met Honcho he ran straight to me and bit me on my leg, even though I was completely ignoring him. I’ve had him for about a week in our board and train program and we’re making great progress. I’m teaching him that he doesn’t have so many responsibilities, especially guarding his owners and himself from people getting near his space. He’s not a bad dog he’s just insecure and didn’t know his place. We still have a few weeks left and several private sessions but he’s already off to a great start. Good job Mr. honcho!

We are working with Penny on not putting items in her mouth she shouldn’t have. Like kids toys, socks, remote controls, sandals, you name it. She is doing so much better at understanding the word “no” and she’s learning what she’s allowed to have and not have. She’s super smart and very driven but we can’t let her chew stuff up as it could be dangerous and well, that’s our stuff and we don’t want it ruined 🙂.

We are still looking for homes for these Dalmatians. They are both great dogs. Good with people of all ages and other dogs. I’m surprised we haven’t received much feedback yet. Please message, call or text if you’re interested in adopting. And please share!

Dalmatians available for adoption. Boy and girl.

One of my clients has stage 4 cancer and he’s going through intense chemo therapy. He wants his dogs to go to a good home so they can have a good life. He needs to focus on his health and doesn’t have the time or physical capability to care for them.

They are two years old. Boy and girl. They get along with people of all ages and are great with other dogs. I will provide a free training session to whoever adopts them. It would be awesome if they can go to the same home but it’s not necessary.

Call or text me if you are SERIOUSLY considering adopting them. Small rehome fee applies.

It's National Start Over Day. Can we just hit the reset button and start over with the dumping and abandoning of animals. We are still over flowing with animals and we just can not seem to catch a break. We are still in need of non clumping cat litter, laundry detergent, canned kitten and cat food, as well as any Iams adult dog mini chunks, Iams puppy, Iams adult cat or Iams kitten dry foods. If we could find homes for many of these animals our supply needs might slow down! Stop on in if you are able to adopt! Mocha is waiting patiently.

I love getting updates like this from my clients. Day made!

Our Story

Texas K9 Rehab is headed up by lead behaviorist, John Miller. Miller has been the “go to” trainer in the DFW area for more than a dozen years. He is often the last resort for many fearful or aggressive dogs who would be euthanized without his incredible training, but he is also able to transform dogs with very unusual behavior. Miller works with Dallas Pets Alive, Cody’s Friends, Habitat 4 Paws, Angie’s Friends and the Allen Animal Shelter. Assistant Trainer, Carlen Morgan joined the team in 2018. Miller also works with dogs in New Mexico and neighboring states.

Texas K9 Rehab’s motto is every dog deserves a chance and they are capable of becoming the dog they are meant to be. It is our mission to educate you how to become a true pack leader and create a peaceful and happy home for people and dogs!
