Tonka had a follow up appointment with Katy today. He wasn’t as relaxed as last week, but was far more demanding in terms of treatos. He told us that he wasn’t as happy at the start of the session, and felt there was too much water which made him shake a lot more to get it off, but that only made it worse. Pepper told him to harden up as no one cared about how much of a wuss he is, and Grover laughed, but I know what it’s like when you don’t feel comfortable on the water treadmill, luckily Alex used to listen to me.. so I listened to Tonka.. I told him that it’s only an hour, and everyone there is there for you, there to help you and give you the best chance at a good future.. I think he listened to me..

It’s a warm afternoon at home, Mum and Dad run the air conditioning for us a lot of the time. It helps me to rest. I like a rest.

Tonka went to the vet today for his monthly arthropen shot. By now we all know what anyone visiting the vet means, heck, sometimes Dad only needs to drive in the vicinity of the vet and it means the same thing..

That’s right.. steaky steak goodness..

Tonka had his first hydrotherapy session with Katy today. Mum and Dad thought he may have been a tad precious, as he doesn’t usually like his feet getting wet.. but he was a natural and really strutted his stuff as the session progressed. The handfuls of luncheon and hoki cubes would have helped there.
Tonka has a follow up next week, and Mum and Dad have been told to watch his treato intake 🤣🤣 like it’s that easy 🤣🤣 ..
Tonka has a busy week next week, starting with an appointment with Juli on Monday, hydrotherapy mid-week, and lunch with Aunty Debbie on Friday.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tonka went to work with Dad this morning. He obviously had a hard day based on what Dad said. Dad took Grover to work after lunch and he had a great afternoon with Aunty Debbie, and even managed to squeeze in a walk at afternoon break.

Groom day for Tonka, Pepper and Grover, with Tess at Wellington Dog Groomers ❤️ they always look so fantastic when they come back from Tess. Pepper and Grover lost so much undercoat today they look like different puppers.. Tonka came back as his usual fluffy giant self, same as every other time.. They all smell lovely, Mum and Dad love how they smell after a groom, it fills the house with a lovely aroma.. I don’t miss groom day, but I do miss how it felt afterwards.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dad was out taking Tonka, Pepper and Grover to see Tess, our groomer. I love having Dad’s office to myself so I decided to have a nap, and Aunty Debbie happened to come to check on me and she took a photo of me in my favourite sleeping position..

Juli is working her magic on Tonka as well as me these days. Pepper spent the session keeping an eye on her Tonka and making sure Julie was looking after him. Grover, as you can all guess, was off clowning around somewhere.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tonka is photo-averse. He hates looking at the camera, no matter what the setting, or who is taking the photo.. but he always makes every photo look better ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Now it is three out of four, Grover is now an unwell puppy.. he is on chicken and rice, as well as the good meds, same as me.. now only Pepper stands against the tummy bug.. she’s probably just staunched out the bug and it’s run away from her out of fear. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dad has ice cream, Grover and I always share Dad’s ice cream, but I am not feeling very well so Mum has said “nothing that isn’t chicken and rice” for all of us for a while.. I have an upset tummy, Mum and Dad are worried I am not as strong as I used to be and will probably take me to the vet tomorrow to see about some antibiotics and probiotics, if it turns out to be colitis like Tonka had ❤️❤️❤️❤️
