Introducing POPPY Pup! 🩵
Poppy traveled to us all the way from Alabama, where she was seized by Animal Control Officers in a Puppy Mill raid. She is estimated to be an about 8 year old poodle mix. She came with the name “Pup” but her foster mom felt she deserved a much better name for her new life! She likely was never named at the Mill, she was probably referred to as a number, this is the cruel reality of puppy mill life. She spent her entire life in a crate, only to be used for breeding purposes, her hair was matted, her skin burned from laying in her own urine, she is missing many teeth from very poor nutrition.
All odds were against her and yet, she is the absolute sweetest girl in the world. She already loves her foster mom, exhibits joy when she comes home from work, follows her all over the house, and loves to cuddle on the couch. For a dog who hasn’t known any kind of human affection EVER, this is wonderful!
Poppy will require senior bloodwork, a much needed dental cleaning/extractions , a well over due spay, etc. This will be very costly on top of the transport/medical fees we have already incurred just to get her here. Please consider donating towards Poppy’s care so that we are able to help many more just like her!
