If you dog uses, pinch, slip leash, or head halter, bring a regular collar or back clip harness for them to search in!

E-collar training! If you’re not willing to put an e-collar on yourself, I’m not willing to train with you, period! We test on the muscle of the inside thumb which is similar to the neck muscle of a dog. Dogs correct and grab on the thick neck skin. It is very tough skin made for teeth that comes with correction and potential attack. Human neck skin is very thin and weak. It is not the same. E-collars or electronic stimulus collars were created for Recall in hunting dogs to come back to hunters from miles away. They became popular in the protection community which bled into the pet world. Any working dog tool that comes into the pet world almost always becomes ab00sed. This is very frustrating for us responsible trainers because our tools are looked upon as ab00se. The way I train with e-collars is very positive and very slowly moves into a correction. Very slowly!!! I want my dogs to have a positive experience with the collar! The collar should mean getting to experience more of the world, not constant corrections. Any trainer that uses e-collars should be vetted completely. They’re a tool not a crutch! Here a quick tutorial of intro to ecollar!
