Is this the new or preview for the next Jan 6th? Armed militia intervening flood support efforts?

This is what misinformation and politicizing everything does. It hurts the people who need the help the most.

I can only tell you my experiences. In over 42 years of being in Florida, dozens and dozens of hurricanes I've seen and been through loss of homes, food, utilities and can tell you that ALL THE SUPPORT from various organizations is amazing. Many times they are working far from home, working in a trailer, long hours and more.

Are the lines at FEMA like the 4 season hotel? No, but they get the job done. Sometime in a temp office, a public library, sometime knocking door to door. You think the lines at moto vehicles is bad, imagine if nearly everyone in your home town or county was in line.

Is relief instant? no but in a day or two for funds end up in your bank account! Other programs take longer. Sometimes it can take a month or two for a mortgage from SBA. Not instant but I will tell you better than your local bank. The processes are very streamlined.

That is the task at hand.

I see several people online arm chair quarterbacking this new anti FEMA movement. Do you really want to help? Donate to your favorite group. Call a church or relief group and volunteer but don't sit there cheering armed idiots threatening those who are actually on the ground helping.

"On Saturday, FEMA workers had to halt their work in Rutherford County, southeast of Asheville, due to reports that National Guard troops saw “armed militia” threatening FEMA workers, according to the Washington Post, which cited an email to federal agencies helping with the response, verified by unnamed federal officials. It’s not clear if the threat was credible and CNN has reached out to FEMA for additional information. FEMA teams worked from fixed locations instead of going door-to-door out of an abundance of caution, according to a person familiar with FEMA operations, The Post reports."

Federal emergency workers were told to evacuate Rutherford County, North Carolina, on October 12 over safety concern.
