Dusted off my coaching hat this weekend and made the trip to Kelowna to clinic with the crew at BK Dressage. It was an awesome few days. Fancy horses, hard work and good friends = great times. Thank you Bobbi Kennedy for hosting me!
Also, who do we know who needs a super quality, AA friendly young horse?! This one really captured me. He is Charmeur x Rampal. 4 y/o, 16.2 hh. Definitely an AA friendly temperament, very workmanlike under saddle and uncomplicated in the connection. Only a few months u/s, his canter is already incredible and his trot will be spectacular with a bit of strength. This one is special. Priced for a quick sale. Athleticism and presence wrapped in a petite, elegant package, this typey mare is the definition of a Ferrari. She stands at 15.1 h, is light and sensitive off of the leg and uncomplicated in the contact. Currently schooling all of the 3rd level work, changes are lightly started and come very easily to her, this mare absolutely has the talent for the FEI. Her more sensitive/over achiever personality type means she is best suited to a confident, relaxed rider who enjoys riding the engine. She gives such a a good feeling, is not spooky or naughty and is very easy to sit. She is also lovely to handle on the ground, loves to be groomed and fussed over and has no vices. Better late than never! Happy to share that our superstar Inigo has found his new home! As we were preparing to market him I had an idea of who the “ideal match” would be for him and low and behold the first person to come try him was the one! We knew right away that they were meant to be and I feel like a proud parent sending him out into the world to continue his journey. It’s been an amazing 2.5 years, it feels like yesterday that Caryn messaged Nancy and I about a very special 2 y/o she found in Germany. I’m so glad we took the leap, what a ride it has been (pun intended!!). Thank you Nancy Arend for being an amazing friend and business partner. Thank you Caryn Bujnowski for steering us to this special horse. Thank you Alyssa Hamedi for the stunning photos and countless hours of young horse wrangling. We will miss having this lovable piece of eye candy around the barn (dang, he is SO handsome) but I am looking forward to following his journey! ❤️

This modern, refined 5 y/o gelding will turn heads everywhere he goes. He has huge elastic gaits, his canter being especially impressive, and he already shows super talent in hand training half steps/piaffe. Inigo is also a naturally confident and relaxed character, he isn’t spooky and is very uncomplicated and workmanlike under saddle. Waterwheel Farm is looking for a reliable, physically fit and experienced stable hand to work 2 morning and 3 afternoon shifts. This could be one person to cover all shifts or two people to divide shifts as they prefer.
Morning duties- feeding, turn out, stall cleaning - approx 4.5 hours, 7 am start
Afternoon duties- turn in, dinner feed. 3:30-4:45
Possibility of more hours for the right person. Pay is very competitive. Positive, team oriented work environment. Barn located in Mt Vernon.
