The Dog Lady graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island in the Equine Studies with a concentrated study in Private Club Management. She then obtained her dog trainer's certification, with honors, from The

Animal Behavior College. Training includes basic obedience, resolving problem behaviors, service dog preparation, and socializing dogs with aggression. Training methods are primarily reward based. The focus is on teaching dog owners how to interpret their dog's behavior and how to address it. The objective is to develop a cohesive relationship between the dog and it's human family.

Testimony from clients Jen & Ellen: Over the last few weeks Laura has helped us introduce our new dog,a 1 year old Great Dane, to our 4 year our bull terrier mix. We had concerns that Clara (bull terrier) may try to dominate and bully Blake, the Great Dane. We were also worried that he may annoy her. We called Laura and she talked us through a slow integration with positive behavioral training. Laura taught us how to let these two rescue dogs with questionable backgrounds get to know each other and eventually become buddies. It was frustrating at first but after following Laura’s advice and sending her short videos of the dogs interacting we began making real progress. In just a couple of weeks the phone calls with Laura paid off. She really understands dogs. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her and recommend her to anyone who needs any dog training.
