While we enjoy all of the Luv A Chin Rescue fundraising events, there is a real reason as to why they are so important. Every month we are supporting our FOREVER FOSTERS, their feeding and care. And just to give you an idea of what this entails, the monthly minimum cost of feeding is just under $900. And coming up in the next month FF Angie will need surgery to remove her one eye that the glaucoma pressure is now not responding to the meds. Her other eye has glaucoma too but luckily the pressure has stayed normal with multiple daily drops. FF Gypsy just made a rush trip to the Vet as she was defecating large amounts of red blood. It turns out she has "acute colitis". With meds and bland diet she has recovered well. Then FF Teddy has developed an ear flap hematoma which will need to have surgery to drain and stich flat, plus being treated for chronic ear infections so he has been switched over to grain-free salmon based (no chicken) food hoping that may help keep those infections at bay. In addition to the ear he will have a dental at the same time. And lastly, our dear FF Moxie, the biter, will be going in to the Vet for his groom/fur shave and toenail clip. He has to be completely sedated (like surgery sedated, NOT just pills to calm him) for that so he has to be under the care of a veterinarian. Moxie has quite a reputation up at the Vet Clinic as he is very hard to give sedative shots to and he is also quite resistant to a normal amount.

So, that is why we need to ask you to participate in our Fundraisers, plus you have a chance to win a really nice prize!

Our FOREVER FOSTERS have our heart today and everyday! By entering our Valentine's Drawing you will be helping support the FOREVER FOSTERS and also getting a chance to win a great prize. The contest runs 2/1 through 2/13 with the drawing on Valentine's Day. Each chance is $5 and can be paid either by PayPal , Venmo or a check ~ just make sure you note with your payment which entry jar you want your chances to go in (example - $5 = one chance in jar #2, $10=2 chances in jar #1, $30= 2 chances in each jar etc)

JUST A REMINDER....we are still looking for a few more SPRING FLING mini-auction items. We have had some very nice things donated but need a bit more, so it won't be quite so MINI! Please send to: LACR, PO Box 243, Redwood Falls, MN 56283 by 2/24, 3/15 at the very latest. You can also order from Amazon, Etsy, or Zazzle and have them send directly to us. With PayPal and Venmo donations added into the FB GIVING TUESDAY amount we are at $999.... that is 40% of our goal. We EXCEEDED $3000 last year, can we come close again? We need $1501 to hit our lowered goal this year of $2500.

We want to give a big round of applause to Melissa Jones for creating another great calendar for us to enjoy every month of 2025! It takes hours of planning and computer time, and we are so grateful she agreed to do this again this year. And besides being a great calendar designer she is also a master photographer! Bravo Melissa!

The Canadian postal strike is still going on so that means the items that were being shipped from Canada haven't been able to go anywhere yet. If any of the items are meant to be a Christmas gift, please contact Kym Van Rooyen. She did check on how much it would be to courier the quilt, and it was over $200 so that didn't seem feasible. Hopefully everyone can be patient and hopefully the postal workers can reach a settlement soon.
