I am out in the shop today finishing a cage order for a smaller Ag program in Oklahoma. I’m reminded of why we fit the customer’s needs. Instead of selling only two sizes of cages, one or two holes etc. Some programs, whether big or small can truly use Kustom cages. We can configure the cage units to house bucks on one tier and breeding does on another. If you have bought one of these units they are probably going to be called a Unicorn cage. If you or your Ag/ISD is in need of caging just keep us in mind as we use only 🇺🇸 American made 14ga Galvanized After Weld wire, quality construction and we will put you in the right cages for your needs. Just saw one of our very early cages for sale on marketplace. I haven’t made metal trays in forever. Other vendors say their wire is this and that. This is the reason we use the best wire (IMO) available, American made 14ga GAW wire.

I honestly believe that the only reason Peyton’s rabbits survived this disaster is because of the quality of our rabbit cages from Tortoise n Hare Rabbit supplies. I just really feel like I need to give them a shoutout! I believe that the solid metal dividers that they use rather than plastic, and the way that they mount their wheels to the bottom of the cages is what saved their lives. They do not attach the wheels to legs like other vendors do. They attach them to the bottom of the cages which strengthens the bottom of the cage stack.

When the tree landed on top of the barn and hit the top of the cages, it caused the bottom of the cages to shoot forward toward the center of the room. If the cages were not as strong at the bottom, I believe they would have stayed in place and we would be looking at a completely different outcome.

All of the cages are no longer useable. The weight of the tree was just too much, plus we literally had to cut the cages apart to get the rabbits out. But I wholeheartedly believe that the quality of their cages is the only reason these rabbits weren’t crushed! I just needed to give them a litte shoutout about this because I never in a million years would have thought that this scenario is something I would ever need to plan for. And you can see that the other cages did not stand up to the weight.

Tortoise N Hare has a new donation program. We will have a 2x drawing for $25.00 gift certificates for each exhibitor entering more than 10 entries per show in open and a drawing for 2x $25.00 gift certificates for each exhibitor entering more than 10 entries in each youth show. We will get you a ticket to put your name on and then it will be drawn after entries close for all shows to encourage high number of entries. So for 2 shows if you enter at least 11 rabbits in each of the shows you will get 2 tickets for chances at the $25.00 gift certificates. So Open will have 2 chances and youth will have 2 chances. But if you enter 11 in one show and 10 or less in the other show then you will only get one ticket into the drawing.
Let’s get those entries in and see who gets to win.

We have been getting a lot of inquiries about caging for quail, chicks, etc.. So, we decided to try and accommodate some of our Peeps. Here are some of the New Quail Pens with egg rollout floors for easy gathering of those eggs for incubation, etc. Also a tiered pen for Grow outs for Quail or Poultry. Current prices are on the pics. We have been looking for a good solution for food and water in our small multi holed cages. These work well and can be used with many different clip on cups. The twist lock bowls are currently available in Pink, Purple, Neon Green, Teal and Clear.
