Nail clipping day...
Paws up! Yikes! I mentioned it was time for nail clipping. It’s a weekly thing . They do get used to it after a bit.This little fella thought we were just going for a walk down the driveway to check the mail. He was not thinking of a pedicure.
This is my niece Alice, teaching one of these cute Rainfield Goldendoodle puppies how to play scrabble ..
And there is a time when every doodle needs to be introduced to Scrabble.

Raising our doodles was definitely a wonderful experience. Although, we've decided to not continue to raise them, we do still love and admire the breed . They are loyal companions, and amazing pets and friends for life. If you have one of our Bluestone Goldendoodles or Rainfield Golden Doodles, we are family! We'll always be family.
We'd love to stay in touch and receive pictures and updates.
Update:
Our family has really enjoyed having puppies in our life and home. They were such a joy to spend time with, and then knowing they went to families that would continue on with the love and loyalty that dogs give us.
Over this passed year however, our personal family has decided to not continue to raise anymore. It' was a difficult decision to make. We would still love to stay in touch and see any pictures you send us.
My mom @ Rainfield Golden Doodles will have puppies available at different times, so check out her website.

(UPDATE:) Sargeant has found his forever family this last weekend.
Sargeant Pepper, is a 15 week old wonderful boy, he's intelligent, loveable and loves to cuddle with his human.

This little one sure loves her rides in the truck. She started out not to impressed, but her pooh bear stuffy "made everything better".
Now she enjoys her rides.

We have been working on their more advanced puppy training. How to walk on a leash, sit/stay and how to wear harnesses. As some of our dogs have been great camping, hiking partners, love to water and even become service dogs.

This was a sweet story, yet a bit sad.
Why do dogs live less than people??
Here's the answer:
Being a vet, I was called to examine a 13-year-old Irish dog named Belker.
The dog's family, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little 6-year-old Shane were close to Belker and expected a miracle.
I tested the dog and found out he was dying of cancer. I told the family I couldn't do anything for him and offered to do the euthanasia procedure at home.
The next day, I felt the familiar feeling in my throat when Belker was surrounded by family.
Shane seemed so quiet, petting the dog for the last time and I was wondering if he would understand what was going on. In a few minutes, the animal fell peacefully sleeping to never wake up.
The child seemed to accept Belker's transition without difficulty. We sat for a moment wondering why the unfortunate fact that dog life is shorter than human beings.
Shane, who had been listening closely, said, "I know why."
What he said next surprised me: I had never heard a more heartwarming explanation than this. This moment changed my way of seeing life.
He said: "People come into the world to learn to live a good life, like loving others all the time and being a good person, eh? well, as dogs are already born knowing how to do all this, they don't have to stay as long as we do."
The moral of the story is:
If a dog was his teacher, you'd learn things like:
🐾 When your loved ones come home, always run to say hello.
🐾 Never pass up an opportunity to go for a walk.
🐾 Allow yourself the experience of fresh air and wind.
🐾 Runs, jumps, and plays daily.
🐾 Upgrade your attention and let people touch you.
🐾 Avoid " biting" when just a "growl" would suffice.
🐾 On warm days, lay on the grass.
🐾 When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
🐾 And never forget: "When someone has a bad day, stay silent, sit close and gently make them feel like you're there..."
This is the secret of happiness that, even if we don't realize, dogs teach us daily. 🐶❤️

Very photogenic and beautiful little girl.
These little guys get more adorable by the day.
We still have puppies available. We have parti doodles as well as some solid colors and they will be ready for their new home in late January.

Here's to the excitement of the holidays ! Our dogs really know how to celebrate. Candles, balloons, head pieces all mean "the camera comes out, so Smile 😉
They also love to have friends over! These doggies go "crazy", but they mind their manners.

Potty training is SOOOOO tiresome. 😀
We start our puppies out at about 2 weeks old with teaching them to use pine pellets, then we'll alternate it with paper and outside (weather permitting).

These puppies are getting at that really cute stage. They're eyes are starting to open up, when they're not sleeping.
Well, our latest puppies are just over one week old, and although their eyes still haven't opened they sure know when momma is around.
They are getting around on their all 4's and they are getting more talkative and expressive.
