I just wanted to say a big thank you as we head towards Christmas.

Spending days out and about with your dogs is honestly the best part of the job (in the sunshine especially πŸ«£πŸ˜‚) They each have their own little personalities and I feel very lucky to know them all. And also their humans! πŸ₯°

It’s been incredible hearing about the different charities you supported β€” it means so much. (And to the naughty people who broke the agreement.. thank you 🎁)X

I hope Christmas brings you some relaxed time, a bit of cheer, and plenty of dog cuddles. Elsie will miss her pals but she is partial to a lie-in as I know, only too well, her pals are too! 🀫😴
Looking forward to many more gallus walks, swaggering bums and seeing their cute wee happy faces in the year ahead.

This Christmas, Walkidoggi will be supporting the following charities:

Kilbride Hospice https://kilbrydehospice.org.uk/donate/

Giving end-of-life care, whilst supporting loved ones. This donation is made in memory of my darling, terribly missed mum, Dorothy, who supported/volunteered for this charity. I miss her every day and wished this for her. Everyone deserves a chance to die with dignity.
The hospice is struggling to keep afloat.

A local charity in memory of Daniel Caplan, who in May 2020, aged 16, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour called DMG/DIPG (Diffuse midline glioma) a terminal brainstem tumour mostly affecting children. There was no treatment plan for his tumour

Daniel died on 30th November 2020, 7 months after diagnosis.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer and yet only 1% of the national cancer spend is on brain tumour research.

A wee side note, there's a fantastic organisation called Be Someone's Santa. It's an incredible set-up for disadvantaged children x find them on Facebook for next year if interested. https://besomeonessanta.org.uk/

Where has the week gone. Thursday, Friday then Mon- Fri ... Starting before everything got wet cold windy and muddy. Last-Last week was a frozen wonderland and we all kept beautifully clean and we were able to walk on water! It was almost biblical! Dogly/Godly.. no difference.
It's been such a busy couple of weeks at doggy HQ with birthdays, prom shopping, one new worker in the house, the much anticipated Wicked release ...! (That's 2.5 hours of my life I won't get back πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚) And now Stranger Things has dropped! Doesn't seem that long ago when we had an 11 themed birthday party on an 11th birthday.
If you know, you know.
So the back room was filled with doggy daycare and part-time schoolers sat, binge watching. Thankfully no Demogorgon's so far!
So, back to the walks, everyone who would really benefit from them, now has their jumpers on and, in the sunshine, the vivid colours are so beautiful.
This Friday we wound up with a fantastic long long walk in our old haunting grounds, Pollok Park with every girls favourite - Georgie and Bella especially - Derek! We recommend Govies for coffee and cake or even their immense Stornoway Stack! Yum!! There does seem to be more doggies than humans... Maybe because of their puppuccino! Us lot were an absolute hit x

Layla came back today for a little while!
Our earlier walk, where Elsie and Coco twinned in their smart, warm jumpers, was soaked in sunshine; lovely crisp and still. Unlike yesterday no-one needed a warm shower to get the mud off.
Yesterday the air was as thick as pea soup. It was such a busy-busy day.. everyone was full of beans. Poor wee Bella was shattered but she chilled afterwards, all warm after a shower at WDHQ.
Monday started with that familiar iced-over world scent they love and they went wild for it. Bonnie has this nack of high-jumping over Elsie. My mission is to catch her, on camera, mid-flight.
Alfie went home on Monday night after staying with us while his lovely mum celebrated a big birthday πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰ Happy birthday week/month Yolande xx

Friday was a treat. It was a beautiful day and the 6 amigo's, including our boarder Alfie and daycare Bella got to explore linn park and went mad for the sandpits. The river was high so we skipped through the wooded riverside walk and headed towards the old golf course! Then it was time to drop Layla home on her final ever Friday with us πŸ₯° πŸ₯Ί The beautiful spaniel girl who inspired many a dogless family (including ours) to get one of their own. Our little cocker spaniel adores Layla ❀️
Of all the weeks of the year, our tumble dryer conked out last week and so Bella got to spend a whole afternoon with Derek working from home. Her dreamboat. A nice man (but maybe not quite the calibre of Derek) came to fix said dryer -even though it was 3 weeks out of warranty. The smelly damp bits can finally get washed. "Yippee for Derek getting the kinda nice-ish man to help!" said Bella!
Let's skip through the rest of the week. Brrrrrrraltic and wet and muddy. Little coats on please when conditions are so yucky as little wet dogs shiver in the cold πŸ₯Ά πŸ₯Ά ❄️
Warm showers for daycares and towel downs for wee walkers.
Not very often does this happen but Dixie got a carry on Thursday, her little legs really were struggling in the mud, even though I showed her a better route, she wanted to follow her friends. Bless. We finally let her run on more solid and green ground! Wee lamb x
We loved MaisieB in her yellow raincoat with hood 😍 we could see her for miles! but that's also because her equafleece was drookit from Tuesday. Still it did the job keeping her warm and dry x
We met a lot of lovely people this week on our adventures and sometimes we got so carried away talking about all you lovely lot and watching you all play, we forgot to take photos. Sometimes it was too wet and sometimes fingers were too numb but here's the good bits x

Well done everyone, surviving Hallowe'en and bon fire night. (I say this, listening to the fireworks πŸŽ‡ on a Sunday night and just imagine all the wee scared dogs and animals who thought it was over for another year). I am sorry , I did mention it individually but (for your 2026 diary) Remember, remember 5th of November...Nae Fireworks event at Whitelees every year. The visitor centre is doggy friendly and the cafΓ© serves hot drinks and snacks right up to 9.30pm on the night. It's becoming increasingly popular every year. Get there while it's still light. Give yourself and your doggy a break from the stress of it all. Let's all meet up next year πŸŽ‡πŸΆπŸΆπŸΆπŸΆ Every dogs favourite; Derek ensures the event runs smoothly x

So last week catch up. We've not chatted since Ringo's πŸŽ‚
Since then, he's been for a sleepover, had a ball and is now home xx good boy!!

Last week, I got a wee bit carried away trying to get a good jumping-over-the-stream snap. Streams are back in glorious full flow x But oh, we were shivering on Wednesday the rain did not let up and we needed our dry robes on. I think it was a bit of a shock!! *A wee plug for an equafleece type jacket I got Elsie. Rydale is warm and although it's not waterproof, it is absorbent. I bought another! So affordable and with a zip and velcro polo-neck to protect from nasties.*

Let's give Georgie a special mention, then 😍.. White by name, White by nature, beautiful , stunning... until she clocks you turn your back for a split second and she's head to toe black from rolling in the stinkiest stuff she can find! 🫣🀣
