Speakers for the voiceless Welcome to our page! We are 100% anti-breeders, period.
We promote spay/neuter/TNVR through education and resource sharing. We're chock full of memes, infographics, and articles that are always public access for re-posting. We want to help by cross posting low cost and free spay and neuter clinics and/or events across the country and worldwide. If you know of any, please send PM them to us and we'll put them up! We will never deny the consequences of n
ot spaying and neutering. Until all adoptable animals have a place to go, there is no reason to produce more. We stand by municipal shelters who are burdened with the task of caring for living, breathing creatures discarded by society. In turn, we ask that they promote spay/neuter/TNVR in their areas to help alleviate the situation. We're also a fundraising and fund-sharing organization; 100% of donations go towards helping residents of Central Florida (our home base!) spay/neuter and vaccinate their furkids and helping local community cat caregivers TNVR their colonies.

With “kitten season” comes “kit-napping season,” when people with the best intentions remove kittens from their nest, not realizing that they are often causing more harm than good. Kittens need their mamas the most for the first six weeks of their lives. Mamas are much more likely to get pregnant again if their babies are taken away from them too young. If you see an “abandoned” nest of healthy, happy, warm, quiet babies LEAVE THEM ALONE for a few hours. Mama is probably just out getting fed so she can in turn nurse them. If the nest is in an unsafe place like a parking lot median, it’s okay to move them a short distance, but never so far that mama cat won’t be able to pick up their scent.

We love collaboration! This morning, our President co-led a TNVR workshop with representatives from Spay N Save and Cats-Can, Inc. and we’re so pleased with the turnout. Attendees got basic trapping knowledge, got to play with an assortment of different traps, and info on local resources. Super excited for their trapping adventures to begin!

Meet Humpfrey and Pebbles! Their human reached out to us because she knew that getting her rescue pups sterilized would be the best way to prevent them from mating, but she needed a bit of help, and we were happy to oblige! A shout out to the team at Spay N Save for taking such good care of this adorable duo.

It’s mating season, and tomcats are wandering for miles looking for females. Our Present found this boy, already deceased, on the side of a major street. No microchip was found, which is not surprising. These are the only photos we can post because his injuries are gruesome.
Please, please, please- get your pets sterilized (because dogs will wander, too, when nature strikes) and TNVR every free-roaming neighborhood cat. We called him Lyman on the paperwork at the emergency vet after the cross street near where he was found, because even in death, every cat deserves a name.

Today is March 3rd, or 3-3, so it's a perfect day to remind everyone of the 3-3-3 guidelines of adopting a pet!
3 days to decompress and settle in
3 weeks to expand, explore, and learn routines
3 months to truly feel like they're home
Of course, we know that every pet is different and some may take longer than others to adjust, so it's important to remain patient and let them learn at their own pace. This will set them up for success and make your bond even stronger!

His humans reached out to us because they knew that getting him neutered was the right thing to do, but they needed help getting an appointment that fit in their budget, and we were happy to help. Thank you the staff at Spay N Save , one of our partner clinics, for once again taking such good care of our furry friends, and for the cute photo of his post-operative tongue blep. 😊 What a great way to wrap up Spay & Neuter Awareness Month. ❤️

Taking a break from Spay & Neuter Awareness Month to talk about another passion of ours: speaking out against declawing. It is barbaric and unnecessary, and while we applaud the state of Virginia for bringing a ban to the table, there is a gaping loophole as it is currently written. Virginia is considering a bill to ban declawing statewide and, while Alley Cat Allies supports a ban, we oppose an amendment added to the bill that creates a dangerous loophole.
What we like about the original HB 1354:
- The bill makes declawing unlawful.
- Declawing would only be lawful in rare cases when it is medically necessary for the cat.
What is wrong with the amended HB 1354:
- The amendment adds a "human health exception" that would allow declawing cats.
- This amendment supports a false notion that cats and cat scratches are a threat to human health and a justification for declawing.
- Top human health experts, including the CDC, USPHS, and NIH, agree that declawing is not advised to benefit human health.

Kitten season is around the corner (or already happening, if you’re in a warmer climate like us in Central Florida). It’s estimated that 80% of kittens are born outside, and of these, only 25% of them will survive their first year. This is also the time of year when well-meaning people “kitnap” kittens and take them to their local shelter where they may be euthanized immediately; did you know that kittens under 8 weeks old is one of the most at risk categories at shelters nationwide?
Please TNVR your neighborhood cats and help your friends, family, and loved ones get their pets sterilized.
Alley Cat Allies, Best Friends Animal Society, and other organizations have great resources regarding community cat care and what to do if you find a nest of kittens. Fixfinder.org can help you locate a low cost clinic in your area.

Finley had to have most of his ears amputated because of cancerous growths. Two weeks post op, and he’s doing so much better!
Handsome Finely is officially two weeks post op and doing amazing. Animals are amazing - he is just the sweetest baby despite everything. He puts his paw directly on his foster when he wants pets and purrs. We are still working on putting on weight, but all in all we are so impressed! As a grassroots nonprofit, we couldn’t do this work without you your donations. We and the furkids of Central Florida are grateful for your continued support.

Franklin update! Our little man has his consult visit tomorrow with a specialist at our primary vet clinic. The radiologist detected that the femoral head is intact, so we're hoping that it can be placed back into the socket. If that is not possible, he may require a femoral head ostectomy (FHO), where a "surgeon removes the femoral head, leaving the acetabulum empty. Initially, the leg muscles hold the femur in place. Over time, a “false joint” is created as scar tissue forms between the acetabulum and femur.
