Queso is one of the silly goose kittens Spay & Neuter Nation neutered and vaccinated for his out-of-work owner with our Florida Animal Friend grant. Queso before surgery, asleep in his food bowl the night after surgery, and 2 days later fully recovered and holding no grudges!

Saving animals and spay and neuter just can’t function without our wonderful veterinarians and techs

Nada was pulled from our local shelter as a end of day kitten. He had a routine visit a few weeks ago due to not gaining weight and ended up crashing big time in the back. His glcouse dropped scary low, in the 30s. The group worked to get him stable for us to be able to transport to the ER clinic. 

We heard it was Shawn’s birthday so we came dressed for the party. The laughter I heard in the back while these pictures were being taken made my day.

Happy Birthday Shawn and thanks for saving so many babies lives 🎂

Despite the looming threat of Hurricane Helene, local cat-vocates were still able to get 30 cats trapped for our first free TNVR day at Pet Alliance today. Thank you again, Franklin's Friends, for the grant that made this possible.

Local followers: Have you heard the news? We've got TWO major grants right now!

Franklin's Friends has once again given us funding specifically for TNVR appointments at no cost to you. We're hosting five days at Pet Alliance - Alafaya:
Friday, September 27th
October 11th
Dates in January, February, and March TBD

We've also got limited weekly appointments at Central Florida Community Pet Clinic.

* These appointments are for independent trappers only, not for people already affiliated with a TNVR program or 501c3.
* Cats must be 3 months old and weigh 3 lbs
* Cats will receive standard TNVR services: sterilization, rabies and FVRCP vaccines, ear tips, and pain meds
* These are NOT for owned or adoptable cats
* Cats can come from anywhere within Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties
* Appointments are first come, first served, but limited to 4 per person (unless we've got extras)

We're focusing on owned pets for our Florida Animal Friend grant. If you know anyone with a cat or dog that needs to be sterilized, vaccinated, and microchipped - this is for them! We will subsidize $50 for cats and $100 for dogs. Again, this is for owned pets, and not for people already affiliated with a rescue or 501c3. We'll be partnering primarily with Spay N Save for this grant.

As 501(c)3 nonprofit, we rely heavily on donations and grant writing to make ends meet. We are so excited to announce that we were recently awarded not just one, but two major grants to help us achieve our mission in the remainder of 2024 and into 2025.

Florida Animal Friend awarded us $15,000 for our “Back to Basics“ campaign. This is our first grand to include our canine companions, and we are beyond excited. This one specifically will help us help pet parents throughout our home base of Central Florida who need a bit of extra help by subsidizing up to $50 per owned cat and up to $100 per owned dog towards the costs of sterilization and vaccinations.

Franklin's Friends has once again awarded us $15,000 for our TNVR initiative, in which we focus on assisting local trappers working tirelessly to reduce the number of free-roaming cats, by providing appointments at no charge to them. We anticipate just over 300 cats will be sterilized, vaccinated, ear tipped, and ready to go back to their colonies. We will host both weekly appointments as well as five sponsored events.

We know that is A LOT of info to take in, so stay tuned to our page as we'll be announcing the first date and eligibility requirements very soon!

We would like to thank the following high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinics for partnering with us to provide the majority of the surgeries: Spay N Save, Central Florida Community Pet Clinic, and Pet Alliance - Alafaya Clinic.
