Meet the Demo Dogs at Hunter’s House, part of the team at Hunter Canine LLC!

First up is Ty, a 10-year-old rescue pit bull who’s been with Hunter since his sophomore year of college. After fostering hundreds of pit bulls, Ty stood out—more challenging and difficult than the rest. He opened Hunter’s eyes to the power and importance of proper training.

Next, we have Holly, who Hunter rescued off the streets of Chester, pregnant with a litter of puppies. Holly excels at teaching dogs how to socialize and behave around other dogs, making her an invaluable part of our training team.

And finally, there’s Biggie, the new kid on the block! This 1-year-old American Bully is training for PSA (Protection Sports Association) and is set to follow in Ty’s footsteps as Hunter’s next Demo Dog. Biggie has big shoes to fill, but he’s well on his way.

Together, this balanced pack not only helps with client dogs but also shows the high standard of training we aim for at Hunter Canine. Let us help you achieve that same balance and harmony with your own dogs!

My two fear aggression Live and Trains this month aren't being fear aggressive with me anymore so it's time for some proper pics for these boys!! Meet Koda and Bear! 🐾 These two are here for Live and Train to tackle fear aggression, so they can become more neutral and comfortable with people and other dogs. The goal? Expanding their social circle while helping their owners gain trust and confidence in their dogs. By building trust in the world around them, we’re aiming to transform not just the dogs’ lives, but their owners’ lives too. INTRODUCING DOGS AND DONUTS Group Class! Group classes are back by popular demand at Hunter Canine and they are now better than ever. Classes will be Saturday Mornings at 10am at Papermill Park and will run for 5 week sessions. You must sign up for all 5 weeks to attend classes to ensure curriculum completion! Class size is limited to 6 dogs however if they fill as we anticipate we will run multiple classes. Join our dog training group class and transform your pup into a well-mannered companion! In just a few sessions, your dog will learn to pay attention to you, sit and lie down on command, walk politely on a leash, come when called, settle on their bed, and behave beautifully in public. Welcome Roo fka Banksy from to our Live and Train Program! Roo is here to learn better leash manners because he's a big puller. Formally introduction for our June Live and Trains living with Alyssa! Rip is a Belgian Malinois that lives with his owners on a spacious horse farm. In order to ensure that he can be entrusted out and about on his own at the farm, his owners emphasized proofing his off leash recall and place command, as well as fine tuning his overall obedience. We also aim to cover some cooperative care exercises to make bathing and nail trims effortless.

Ruby is a sweet pitbull mix that has some big feelings about other dogs when she goes for walks with her humans. While on leash, Ruby can be easily frustrated by external stimuli, which often carries over in the house with her cat siblings. We will be fine tuning her basic obedience, as well as addressing and teaching her to work through her reactivity in a healthy way. Hashtags

Super excited to have Buck and Hooper, our Live and Trains for the month of May at Casa De .canine 🎉 The main reason we are super excited to have these two is because they are each a hand full and a half and we can't wait to bring some peace and sanity to their families lives!! This song reminds me of each of these dogs personalities 😂 Buck is notorious for being horrible on the leash. He pulls like a freight train, will choke himself, and pull your arm out of the socket. It's not fun! Buck will be learning leash manners, crate training, obedience, and overall manners so that he is a well rounded member of the family. Hoopers most well-known command is "damnit Hooper!" Because he's always finding himself into trouble! Weather it be chasing the cats, knocking down fences, digging holes, playing too tough with his brother and putting holes in walls... Hooper will be learning leash manners and obedience so that he is a more respectful and gentle member of the family. He's 130lbs so when he throws his weight around you can feel the house shake. We will also be working on proper socialization around people and dogs with both Buck and Hooper. Really looking forward to spending the next month turning these knuckle heads into distinguished gentlemen!

She will be trained in full age appropriate obedience, socialization, and environmental exposure. Dash is here from for service dog evaluation and training to hopefully join one of our veterans as a service dog! Looking forward to this month with them and so grateful for this opportunity 💙

Delaware City Day 2022 was a HUGE success!! Thank you SO SO much to everyone who came out to support Hunter Canine for our first community event! Thank you to my amazing friends and clients who came out to support! It was my pleasure to spend the day talking to local dog owners and hearing about their dogs and I really look forward to working with many of you in the future!! Super grateful for my amazing demo dogs Ty and Holly they are seriously the best dogs in the world and I’m so blessed to have them both in my life. One of my favorite hot weather mental and physical exercises that is safe! I want my dog to have strong heat tolerance while able to think clearly and perform behavior strongly even when he’s exhausted. This is a safe low impact exercise to work on that.It only takes 5-10 minutes and you can do it in your backyard. All your need is a touch pad and a reward. When teaching this start with food and the dog should already know “touch” and “heel”. I posted videos on both of those. Give it a try and tag me!!!
