Hunter Canine Dog Training is officially launching our Wilmington Headquarters! 🎉 This state-of-the-art, fully climate-controlled, 2,500-square-foot facility will allow us to continue setting the standard for dog training in Delaware. It’s designed to be beautiful, safe, and the absolute best space for YOU and your dogs to thrive. 🐾

Centrally located, we’re excited to welcome our clients from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland to this premier training hub. We get the keys on March 1st, and the countdown is on! We’ll be spending the month creating the perfect environment, and we’re thrilled to open our doors on April 1st.

Meet the Demo Dogs at Hunter’s House, part of the team at Hunter Canine LLC!

First up is Ty, a 10-year-old rescue pit bull who’s been with Hunter since his sophomore year of college. After fostering hundreds of pit bulls, Ty stood out—more challenging and difficult than the rest. He opened Hunter’s eyes to the power and importance of proper training.

Next, we have Holly, who Hunter rescued off the streets of Chester, pregnant with a litter of puppies. Holly excels at teaching dogs how to socialize and behave around other dogs, making her an invaluable part of our training team.

And finally, there’s Biggie, the new kid on the block! This 1-year-old American Bully is training for PSA (Protection Sports Association) and is set to follow in Ty’s footsteps as Hunter’s next Demo Dog. Biggie has big shoes to fill, but he’s well on his way.

Together, this balanced pack not only helps with client dogs but also shows the high standard of training we aim for at Hunter Canine. Let us help you achieve that same balance and harmony with your own dogs!

INTRODUCING DOGS AND DONUTS Group Class! Group classes are back by popular demand at Hunter Canine and they are now better than ever. Classes will be Saturday Mornings at 10am at Papermill Park and will run for 5 week sessions. You must sign up for all 5 weeks to attend classes to ensure curriculum completion! Class size is limited to 6 dogs however if they fill as we anticipate we will run multiple classes. Join our dog training group class and transform your pup into a well-mannered companion! In just a few sessions, your dog will learn to pay attention to you, sit and lie down on command, walk politely on a leash, come when called, settle on their bed, and behave beautifully in public. He is also learning crate training because he chews stuff when his parents aren't home! He will also learn to not eat stuff off the ground like goose p**p! Yuck! Live and Trains Koda and Bodhi enjoyed a field trip to the Riverfront today to proof their training around people and dogs in a public setting. Winston the Corgi had bitten his owner to the point of needing stitches and leaving scars. Winston has been with us for 8 weeks for the remediation of resource guarding manifesting into aggression. He also has significant handling sensitivity with collars and his neck being touched. He would resource guard his crate, his food, toys, shoes, packages, areas of the house, you name it. He would also protest on walks and get spicy whenever he didn't want to do something. Our team has been working very hard utilizing Winston's genetic characteristics and this video makes us so proud because it shows how much Winston loves training but also has reliable communication skills to navigate situations which would have been previously problematic for his family. We look forward to integrating this success back home with Winston's family via our three integration lessons.
