Hawthorn is helping his family raise a litter of rescued kittens! He's being so gentle and sweet with them! We're pretty sure he's gonna have his paws full in another week or two, though, when they start learning how to roughouse! 🤣

My best girl, beautiful Reckless! 💕 She'll be turning 9 years old this coming Sunday, November 10th, which is also the Marine Corps' birthday!

When Reckless' breeder told me she and her siblings were born on the Marine Corps birthday, I knew she needed a special USMC-themed name. After much thought, I decided to name her after Staff Sergeant Reckless, a mare who earned the official title of United States Marine after serving with incredible heroicism in the Korean War. My husband and I are both Marines, and we both come from families of Marines, so it felt right that my special girl should have such a meaningful namesake. 💕
