Rion is looking quite dapper at 18 months old! His family is blessed to live in an area where Rion can enjoy daily adventures in the forest with them, and they've done a spectacular job with training him to be a very obedient and reliable boy both on- and off-leash. Seven has been taking a lot after her papa Booker in looks, from her head shape to her overall body structure, but she's closer to her mama Reckless' coat length and color. Seven has the biggest and most hilariously goofy personality for such a little girl and we adore her immensely. 🩷 She's getting a little on the porky side lately 🙈 so I'm putting her on a bit of a diet lol.

Wrigley shows that even a crooked smile can be beautiful. 🤎

Wrigley is affected by a genetically inherited abnormality called wry jaw. It is a Class 4 Malocclusion, or malformation of the jaw and misalignment of teeth. One side of her top and bottom jaws ended up growing longer than the other side, giving her muzzle a wry, or twisted, shape. Her teeth don't line up correctly, as a result. Sometimes, the irregular shape of the jaws and crooked teeth can even result in teeth from the lower jaw pressing into the roof of the mouth, which may lead to teeth needing to be pulled. Luckily though, this isn't an issue with Wrigley's teeth.

We had no idea that the risk of this condition even existed in either of her parents' lines, and both of her parents are 100% unrelated (Wrigley's genetic COI is 0%), so we were unfortunately quite surprised when Wrigley began to show signs of this from a young age. Thankfully, all 8 of her littermates have completely normal and correct scissor bites. Poor Piggles ended up with the short end of the genetic stick somehow, but she is deeply loved by us. I knew from the time she was only 2 weeks old that she would be staying here as a pet. She's a very, very special and beautiful baby. 🤎

The babies were FIRED UP today because of the cold front that chilled us off over the weekend. They didn't exactly make things easy while we were trying to go over the fine details of their structure. 🤪 This will definitely be a 2 or 3 day process. 😂

While Green Boy and Purple Girl were out taking a trip to Tractor Supply with Gabe, Dustin and I were home babysitting the rest of the hooligans and deep cleaning their puppy pen. Winter weather rolled in fast this weekend and it's been in the 40's and 50's during the day and the high 20's to low 30's at night. Needless to say, the puppies are thrilled with the chilly weather and are even more revved up than usual. 😂🤪
