Our Story
Hallo! My name is Dexter T Dog. My charming human companions and I would like to invite you to board with us in my delightful residence. I employ Miss Kirsty to cater to my needs on a full-time basis, and we live together with Mr. Stuart, and Pythagoras the snake, in a little yellow cottage by the sea. I have direct access to a lovely enclosed garden, containing a variety of pieces of driftwood and half chewed tennis balls. I may also be found socialising with our neighbours, Rowan the Spaniel and Hock the Labrador, from next door. Miss Kirsty has been a highly recommended doggy (and kitty)-sitter all over the world, from the Scottish Highlands to the beaches of New South Wales. In fact, I loved it here so much, I decided to stay! Miss Kirsty is also highly skilled in the arts of chin-rubbing, ear-scratching and belly-tickling. So if you're looking for a home-away-from-home, come to our home! Warmest regards Dexter and Kirsty PS We also take small reptiles! The Boring Stuff by Miss Kirsty: Dexter's Doggy Digs is fully licensed and insured. I have a VTQ in Canine First Aid, and a Coursera certificate in Dog Emotion and Cognition. I am happy to provide medication, including injections or other procedures, to your dog during its stay, following instruction by the owner.
I am licensed to take up to two visiting dogs, although we only usually take one, due to space considerations and Dexter's sanity! We are happy to take unneutered male dogs, provided that they pass the Dexter Test and don't p*e all over the house! We don't take young dogs under the age of 9 months. Dexter is not getting any younger, and doesn't really appreciate Being Bounced... According to the terms of our licence, we are not allowed to take the following dogs: Any dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 Dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 (eg Wolf hybrids) Any dogs subject to Dog Control Notices served under the Control of Dogs (Scotland) Act 2010 We are happy to take reptiles, provided their enclosure is small enough to be transported (and we can find a space to put them!)
