It is with heavy hearts we announce that Buddy has passed away. It’s been a few hard weeks, but we’re finally ready to share the news with everyone who ever knew Buddy. Sometimes you would find him sitting in one of the lobby chairs staring out of the window at the shop, greeting people at the door, “shopping” around the show room, butt tucking over pizza crust, doing tricks for treats to impress everyone around, or showing up with Tracy on a service call in the passenger seat of the road van.
Buddy loved to make friends, human or canine, and especially loved the tiny humans that ever visited the store (and their blankies). Sometimes if you were lucky he would leave his “glitter” on your hands and pants after getting a pet or two from anyone visiting the store. Even more than making new friends, Buddy LOVED visiting his brother Baxter, and was arguably his best friend. Even after Baxter passed, if you spoke his name, Buddy’s tail would start wagging and he would look around for his brother.
You never truly realize how much of an impact an animal leaves with you, how they become family, and how you grow to love them unconditionally as they love you, once they’re gone.
Buddy brought so much joy and love into our lives, and we will miss him greatly.
We love you Buddy. We hope you and Baxter are up there making up for lost time.
