We at Dial a Dog Wash are very disappointed with the recent negativity surrounding The Local Pet Awards. We became aware of dog training business's that use adverse methods to control dog being included in the competition. This is so disheartening for us, when we dedicate our lives to our love of dogs and only want to be associated with business's who treat dogs with the love and compassion they deserve.
We are pleased The Local Pet Awards have recognised the issue & the impact on animal welfare in promoting business's that use abusive methods. The categories these businesses were in have now been removed.
At Dial a Dog Wash we are passionate about animal welfare & hope that this issue will highlight the importance of choosing trainers that uses reward based training techniques and not a fear based approach. We are happy to recommend some fantastic trainers we have previously worked with.
With the promise of more vetting & change for the future awards We have decided to still attend this year. We are really looking forward to getting out of our grooming uniform for a night of celebrating our business and networking with other admirable like minded businesses.

🐾 W E A R E H I R I N G 🐾 FULL-TIME/ PART-TIME MOBILE DOG GROOMER P O S I T I O N A V A I L A B L E 🐾 Do you have experience in working with dogs and have a passion for them? 🐾 Are you reliable, hardworking and have the drive we are looking for? 🐾Would you like to become a Dog Groomer and learn a skill for life not to mention have a highly rewarding job? 🐾 Do you hold a FULL CLEAN driving licence and are an excellent driver ? If you have answered YES to ALL of the above then DIAL A DOG WASH is looking for you!! We have a Full-Time / Part -Time position available. Training will be held in Mainland U.K or in Northern Ireland depending on availability of the trainer and will be fully discussed at interview. The position involves driving a large transit size van around our clients homes in South & East Belfast & North Down, grooming their dogs outside their homes with all the mod cons you will need to deliver a high standard of grooming. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to our base in Bangor each day. Good customer service skills and the ability to do light paperwork is also an essential part of the job. This is an extremely physical and demanding job with heavy lifting involved. You must also be competent to work on your own.
