Apparently, my post yesterday never went through, so we're trying again!

Congratulations to these 4 lovely ladies on a great week at the Winston National.

Catalina Du Cowa Z was 6th out of 25 in the 1.05 Classic. She also had a fantastic week all around in the 1.0 Juniors.

Just Peachy was 1st in the .65 Classic and Reserve Champion of the division.

Calamity Jane held her own in the .90 division all week, finishing in the ribbons in every class. I think this girl is happy to finally have her own kid!

Thank you to Sophia for coming to help and learn! We loved having you!

Congratulations to our riders and horses this weekend!

Livi, Kassie, Lydia, Hannah, Gloria, and Aubrey were all fabulous in their divisions and continue to grow and learn each time they go out. Norton, Priya, Garth and Peach were all perfect as well!

Thank you Stoney Ridge Stables for a great show!

"Priya" 15.2 hand 2007 Thoroughbred mare

Anyone looking for a fun, competitive, lower level jumper on a budget? This mare is a blast! I originally bought her for my lesson program, but we do mostly beginners now and she really would prefer her own person. I am hoping to find her a competent rider that understands a Thoroughbred and wants to give her all the love and attention she deserves.

Priya is brave and forward, but goes in a rubber snaffle. She hacks out in a field, loads well, and is great on trail. She wears 4 shoes and had her hocks done recently.

USEF # is 5668585, but she only did one show with her previous owners. We have taken her to two local schooling shows in the past month and she was fantastic. The same at the show as she is at home. Priya also did local week at Cleveland in the .90, taking home RESERVE!

Her shortcomings are as follows. She has multiple scars on her body, none of which I have any history on. Nothing that affects her, but cosmetically, she is imperfect. She does have a cloud in one eye that she has always had and it doesn't seem to affect her, but it's there. I've never tried to clip her, but judging from how she is when I pull her mane, I'm assuming she would need to be sedated to clip. Priya likes to pin her ears and give you the death stare at feeding time, but it's all talk. She has never offered to be mean, although her face tells a different story.

This mare is not for a beginner rider, nor the heavy-handed, nervous rider.

Please don't let her age deter you, she really still has a lot to offer. If you're looking for a competitive jumper for a good riding individual, on a budget, she might be your girl.

By Tatum Mitchell “You have to look the part to be the part.” That was one of the first lessons I learned as a horse person. Knowing the most appropriate attire for barn activities is a vital skill. It wasn’t until one of my trainers told me I “looked like an unmade bed” that I […]

WEC Summer 1 was a SUCCESS!

7 horses, 6 riders, a lot of humidity, and so much learning. The ribbons are great, but the rest was what mattered.

Sydney moved up in the Jumpers with Rogue and Catalina this week and learned so much.

Gabby and Emit tried their hand at 2'3" and had some amazing trips! Sunday, the storm forced us inside where we never schooled and they came home second! Gabby even got to snag a catch ride on Catalina and Rogue.

McKenzie and Wonder really started to understand consistency and canter and had some great ribbons in both divisions. This young horse just impresses me at every show with how mature he is beyond his years.

Aubrey and Dixie did their first Derby and were just out of the call back. They competed in the 2'9" also against a tough crowd and took home a 5th in a big Equitation class as well!

Erin and Linc had a great show getting this greenie back out. Linc was fantastic in the Futures after not schooling in the ring and took home some good ribbons.

Sophia and Honey were double clear Sunday in the Classic, taking a 5th out of 18. The highlight of the show for me may have been Sophia erupting into tears as she walked out of the in gate and told everyone in ear shot, "I'm just so proud of her!"

Such a small part of actually horse showing happens outside the ring and I was happy to see that the most. Everyone cheered each other on and hopefully came home with things they'd like to work on.

Special thanks to Leah, Gabby's big sister, who busted her butt helping everyone and she doesn't even ride! Thank you also to Erin and Syd who helped everyone, even though they were there to show and not groom. Thank you to the parents who make it all possible.

And of course, thank you to all the horses, because without them, this isn't possible!

After a complete change of horse show plans, Honey and Sophia moved up to the Intermediate Jumpers!

An unfortunate rail kept them out of the ribbons, but we still couldn't be happier!

Congratulations to Kitty and Priya, RESERVE in the Low Adults and Intermediate Children's.

We still have plenty of work to do, but your hard work is paying off.

Age really is just a number. This fun mare, Priya, is 17. We don't know a ton about her history, but I do know she wants to be more than a lesson horse!

Aubrey is 11 and made a great little catch rider for us to get some video of Priya and see how she would do at a show. I think they both far exceeded our expectations!

Our last minute decision to go to Chagrin Valley Farms is turning into a fun weekend!

When it's this hot out, I know the horses appreciate being in during the day and out at night!

Another great Stoney Ridge Show in the books! I failed at taking pictures, but I couldn't be more proud of everyone.

Lydia and Addi rocked it with Norton at their second show. It was so fun to see how confident both girls were this time around! 🏆

McKenzie and Wonder are really putting in the work and getting out there this summer and it's paying off! We did some Hunters and Jumpers and had great trips. This young horse is one of my favorites. 🍀

Gloria and Garth cleaned up both days in the ground poles! Look out Limit, here we come! 😉 🏆

Aubrey and Peach continue to enjoy their transition into the jumpers. They really show that you can be smooth and consistent without galloping around and still get top ribbons! 🍑 🏆

Aubrey and Livi took Priya to her first show with us and had a great time! Livi did the 18" hunters and the 2' jumpers. Priya was perfect for Livi's introduction into jumpers. 🏆

Aubrey and Priya dabbled in the 2'6" and 2'9" with some stellar trips! If anyone is looking for a fun jumper on a budget, let me know. This sweet mare wants and deserves her own person! 💲 💲

Syd was kind enough to take Linc out to get back in the show ring, and she couldn't have done better! Apparently, Linc went to work on his modeling skills, but we also showed and put in some great trips! 🇺🇸

Syd also picked up a catch ride on Wonder and laid down nice trips, earned four firsts and a champion, and called it a day in the Very Greens. 🏆 🥇 🥇 🥇 🥇

Even though Sophia didn't show, she came to support her friends and help out. This is what I'm most proud of with the group. They helped each other, had fun, learned, and just went with the flow! Everyone's hard work is paying off! ☀️ ☀️

Thank you to all the parents and show staff that made it possible. And Happy Father's Day to all the dads!
