DARL's FB page will remain open in memory and honor of Zan & Angie and all other dogs that we have helped together with YOU. If you have an animal that is lost or needs a home please feel free to post here or PM me here so we can help these animals find an awesome home as Zan, Buddy and Angie did. We still have Buddy! He'll be 9 years old in September.

We have lost another pack member to cancer.Miss Angelina "Angie" Aurora passed on 2.3.24. May she run free with her bestie Zan the Man.

Angie helped with Zan when he had lost his eyesight. She would also help with PT to keep his mobility. She was strong, structured and a mother to her bestie and her people. Like Zan. She adored people company. She loves her shrimp! 😊🐾💜

Zan the Man who inspired me to rescue Pitbull type dogs has passed. Zan went to schools, TV shows, protests and spent a lot of hours with his family. He loves cheeseburgers and rides. May he rest in peace pain free and run again !

Update on Peggy Sue.

She has passed away. Peggy Sue was in a wonderful home and lived the rest if her life in the best way. Thank you Kelly D and family for caring so much for her and loving her. Thank you all for your support for Peggy Sue.

Another special needs pup needs a home.

Meet Peggy Sue

Peggy Sue was found standing on the road. No one claimed her after several days of trying. Now she needs a home to call her own.

She is probably at least 10 years old & weighs about 10 pounds. She had a couple of mammary tumors on her right side so when the veterinarian spayed her he also did a mastectomy on that side. He also did a dental for her & removed several decaying teeth. Senior blood panel results were normal except her kidney function values were moderately elevated. She is on Science Diet food especially for elevated kidney values. She is HW negative & fully vaccinated.

She is sweet & greets strangers with her tail wagging.
She is a little sensitive about being picked up so we are very gentle & make sure she feels secure before lifting her. She loves to curl up next to you on the couch & sleep. She also likes to burrow under blankets. She has a very healthy appetite & eats 3 meals a day :-).

I miss DARL. I never forget how much you all have helped rescue pups like Buddy. I hope you are all doing as well as we are. Buddy is not a people dog and that's just him. But he loves his pup friends. He has 14 or so that come over on occasion and say hi and play. He loves his walks and adventures. I am so happy I have him in my life. He will be turning 8 years old on September 23. Feel free to say hi or share an update.
