Today is the Winter Solstice. December 21.
Also known as The Longest Night.
The shortest amount of daylight in the year, and the longest amount of darkness.

Legend says that Santa Paws visits all the animals at the Rainbow Bridge every year on December 21, before he travels around the world to see all the boys and girls on Christmas Eve. He chose this night to visit the Rainbow Bridge as it affords him the most time to spend napping with the animals.

In honor of all of our pets and animal friends that have crossed over, please light a candle this evening to honor and remember them.

“The Longest Night”

On Saturday December 21, candles will be lit around the world to remember and honor our beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge during what is called ‘The Longest Night.’

December 21 is the day of the year with the least amount of sunlight and the most amount of darkness. Hence, the “longest night.” It’s known as the winter solstice.

Whether you have lost a beloved pet recently, or wish to honor a pet, or pets, from many years ago, celebrate their life by lighting a candle in their memory. If you can, please light a candle at 8:00pm during your local time. If you can’t do it at 8pm, that’s ok, consider lighting a candle whatever time you wish to remember your pets. LED candles are perfect for this.

Together, our candles will shine up to the Rainbow Bridge and remind our lost pets that we still remember them and love them. ❤

Code3 would like to say THANK YOU to everyone that donated toys to the 2024 Marines ‘Toys For Tots’ Toy Drive, and to Air-Mods Flight Academy and Bag of Bones Barkery for generously agreeing to host a donation drop-off point. A special shout-out to Melissa and everyone at Air-Mods who went above and beyond.

The toy collection boxes were picked up today and your donations will surely bring smiles and happy memories to children in need across the area on Christmas morning. 🎄🎅❤️🇺🇸

Toys are no longer being accepted. If anyone still wishes to donate, please reach out to a local charity in need or make a monetary donation to Toys For Tots online.

With many people having family over for Thanksgiving, please keep in mind that visitors don’t know your routines and could leave doors and gates open allowing pets to escape.

Pets should be kept safe in an interior room where they can’t get lost.

It’s also safe for the pet too when you’re cooking so no one gets tripped over and hot food doesn’t spill on the pet.
