❤️ Welcome to Freedom, Kayla and Sky ❤️
On Sunday, Captains Liz, Hillel, and Bob set-out to provide freedom flights for two very special pups.
Captain Liz started her day early by heading to North Carolina to pick up a pregnant momma named Sky who was heading to Baltimore.
Kayla happened to be in the same shelter as Sky and needed to come to NJ, so Captain Liz was gracious enough to allow Kayla to tag along on leg 1 of their journey to freedom.
Liz flew them to Chesapeake Virginia where they met up with their leg 2 pilots, Hillel and Bob.
Hillel would take Sky to Baltimore, and Bob would bring Kayla up to New Jersey. Both flights across the Chesapeake Bay were absolutely beautiful on such a picture perfect Sunday for flying.
Kayla is an absolute love bug who showed everyone how happy she was to finally be free by rolling around on the grass. She kept Code3 pilot Captain Dylan, and some spectators, quite entertained with her antics.
Watching her so happy and rolling on the grass was a bit emotional for two spectators at the airport that happened to catch her arrival and her new found freedom and love of grass. ❤️
Kayla is believed to be an Australian Shepard mix and will be available for adoption soon at Voorhees Animal Orphanage in Voorhees NJ.
THANK YOU to everyone that played a part in saving these two sweet dogs. It takes an army to save these lives, and we like to refer to these angels as Seuk’s Army.
This transport is dedicated to the life and memory of Seuk Kim who died in a plane crash along with one of the rescue dogs, Lisa, that he was transporting from Virginia to New York in November 2024. Seuk and Lisa are buried together now, but the mission to provide freedom flights that save lives continues each and every day. ✈️❤️🐾
