Please, I cannot stress enough, DO NOT walk your pups in this kind of heat! If they haven’t been out yet, wait till it cools down later! I appreciate some people don’t have gardens so short toilet breaks outside are fine, but long walks, ball launchers and no shade would be irresponsible in my opinion.

RESTRICTIONS LIFTED!!

As of tomorrow, 1 August 2024, any dog walking restrictions at both HENGISTBURY HEAD & ST CATHERINE’S HILL have been lifted as ground nesting season is over.

That said, please always be vigilant and respectful of our wildlife, keeping all dogs under control if wildlife or cattle are nearby

HOT WEATHER ALERT / WALK CANCELLATION 🚨

As the weather this coming week is going to be hot, particularly Tuesday and Wednesday, both these walk days will be CANCELLED!

Any other days this week, my walks will be pushed into the morning, so everyone has been walked and is home safe before 10am.

Walks will take place in shaded areas only, and if I deem appropriate, dogs will be kept on lead to prevent over exertion. I always carry water with me, provide cooling bandanas and jackets for all dogs, and along with damp towels on the seats of my car, I have sun shades over windows to also keep the car cool for them.

If the weather continues to stay very hot I will cancel any further walks if necessary to do so, and provide pop-ins where required.

All my regular clients have been made aware 🐾

The pup squads safety must ALWAYS come first 🐶🐾❤️
