Greetings Fellow Felines and Friends,
I just wanted to share some news about Lara. She wasn’t eating or drinking a few days ago. Our human took her to the vet. Sadly, Lara’s heart is failing. She was given a couple of injections to boost it, and she has meds to take. The vet couldn’t say how long she has.

Since that visit on Saturday, she has perked up some. She is drinking water and eating. She is also doing her business in the catbox. She went outside last evening with supervision…and of course, she wanted to cross the road. She was promptly scooped up and returned inside. Now she caterwauls at the windows and doors to go out again.

We other felines are tolerant of her. And we accept that our humans fuss so much over her. Being a sick, senior cat has its advantages.

Remember to love all those people and animals that come into your life. You never know how long they will be with you!

Greetings my Fellow Felines and Friends. Yesterday, our human adopted her mother-in-law’s feline, Lara, a small 15 year old who meows like she chain-smoked for all of her life.

She is being introduced to us slowly, except last night…she pushed open her carrier door (which only closed on one side - other side was broken) and she ambled into the living room. We of course were surprised and Tinka followed her to see who this interloper was. Lara hissed at her, and Tinka stopped in her tracks. Enzo tried to approach to get a better look, but he was also rebuffed with a loud hiss.

Now Lara is staying in the office, moving from one window ledge to the other. Feliway diffusers are in almost every room. Hopefully, this old girl will settle in soon. Our human keeps telling us to be nice to Lara.

How do you adapt to big changes in your life? For Lara this is the second move in recent months. From a home in the hills, and forests to explore, to a small apartment for seniors, where she could go outside, but the neighbors complained about an inquisitive cat entering their gardens or their homes…now to another home with 4 other felines. She is now the eldest of us, but you wouldn’t know it to look at her.

Hello Fellow Felines and Friends. Is it already the end of July? Goodness where has the time gone? Summer is halfway over. Have you been away on holidays yet? If so, I hope that you are feeling rested and refreshed. If you haven’t gone as yet…I wish safe travels.

Here at home, we’ve been relaxing…lounging in the grass, which is green once again after the recent rains. And we have been enjoying quiet time with our humans. Last night, Bounty proudly brought home a dead dove in hommage to our person. She did accept the gift, but not without a reprimand to Bounty. These birds eat seeds etc from the ground and move slowly, so, not a difficult prey to catch.

Now, at the moment we are all sleeping. Being at peace. And when our person saw Piccola and Tinka…she had to snap a couple of pictures. There is so much love here. Piccola who was an orphan just like Tinka…these two found each other…stimulating and comforting each other…they have a special bond.

Enzo too is on the bed sleeping. Happy to be in our person’s presence. As he ages, he seems wiser, and he stays closer to home.

Life is like that. You don’t know you’ve aged or grown older until you feel it…you slow down, and you feel the need to nap or rest more often. Love those moments. Allow yourself to have the down time you need to return to yourself, and feel rested and ready for whatever is next!

Hello Fellow Felines and Friends. Well it is official. The heatwave is on, and we Felines have been feeling it hard. Sleeping is definitely on the “to do” list. Here you can see how seriously Enzo is taking it.
Tinka has snuggled up next to him. He can’t be bothered to chase her away.

Remember to stay hydrated and check our water bowls as well.
Wear a hat, put on your sunscreen and take it slowly.

Play time is also important to us ! Here Bounty has encouraged our human to pause from house cleaning to play.

Good morning my fellow Felines and Friends. Today like yesterday, it is a gray, cold day in Alsace. We are enjoying spending time hanging out on the bed. At this mid-winter point, it is still time for introspection and releasing what no longer serves you. Try to clear out the clutter; whether it is mental, emotional, or physical. Our person is slowly doing all three. She is going through the house and clearing out unused or broken items to be donated, sold, or thrown away. Luckily, she has not yet reached our toy box…but I am sure that too will get cleared out.

What is it in your life that you need to clear out? Remember to ask yourself the question…do I really need this? If not put in a pile and thank it for its presence in your life in the past and release it.

As you clear out your mind or emotions, think about the habits, mindsets, beliefs, or stories you have told yourselves…are they still true? Or are they preventing you from moving forward and shining your light?

Be gentle with yourselves as you go through the process. Remember, we Felines, are always there to love and support you.
Even when you don’t know it.
