A little bit about me: I am Certified as: a Veterinary Technician, a Fear Free Level 3 Elite Professional, AKC CGC Evaluator, Reiki Level 1 Practitioner, and Pet Nutrition Consultant. In addition, I am a Proud Member of: The Pet Professional Guild (PPG), International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), Force Free Trainers of Wisconsin, and Cudahy Kennel Club. I have been in animal care and behavior since 2001, continue my own education as often as possible. I have competed and titled in either or both AKC Obedience and IGP (formerly Schutzhund) with several breeds (several Dobermans, Maltese, Olde Eng Bulldog) and more recently delved into SD training starting with an advancement of my own mobility disability. I have also done SAR and herding training for fun and titled in Agility and Rally, and have certified several dogs/breeds in Therapy and CGC/A.
I can offer an integrative and holistic approach to dog training and behavioral modification services and in addition to dogs, I also work routinely with cats and have worked with birds, rats, horses, and even fish. I can help you piece together the WHOLE beautiful picture behind your pet's behavior: Proper Nutrition, Exercise relative to Growth Stages and maintenance, to Physiological Capabilities (and restrictions), and overall Emotional Health as well. Unlike some popular opinions may have you believe, a well-adjusted dog is NOT about mechanical manipulations and just “obedience”.
My page is: www.facebook.com/trekkingdogtrainer and my website is www.trekkingdogtrainer.com.
I offer:
* Worldwide Phone Consultations via regular line, Zoom or What’s App.
* Integrative private and group behavioral modification and training with a focus on Fear Free methods, proper nutrition and needs-based education. I help owners address many of the variables to their pet's behavioral puzzle by not just focusing on the behavior, but the underlying causes of the behavior.
* Puppy through Competition Life Skills/Manners programs available
* Fear Free Outreach Program for Petsitters, Dogwalkers, Veterinary Hospitals, Grooming Salons, Kennel Clubs, Community Centers, Animal Rescue Organizations and even private training groups.
* Fear Free Veterinary Visits (whether for clients or hospital staff...or both!)
* Pet Anxiety Relief Programs
* Reactivity/Aggression Modification Programs
* Rescue Fundraising Events
* Nutritional education and supplemental guidance
* Reiki Energy Work Sessions and Aromatherapy Guidance
I promote peaceful interactions, confidence-building exercises, and modification of both your pet's understanding of this very human world...and their emotional reactions to it.
