Nick’s Closet aims to p
rovide help and support in the community with live and online auctions, fundraising events and outreach programs throughout the year. Nick’s Closet has started a “wish list” for people who want to make a difference and provided volunteer opportunities for community service such as collecting coats for the homeless and a food drop for local pantries and animal shelters. Nick’s Closet also supplied merchandise for Season of Joy, Rescue Romp, Advent by Candlelight, Brandon’s Key 4 Life, American Cancer Society and more. NICK
Stephan Curcio has a passion for challenge and the energy to pursue his dreams of making a difference in the world. After remodeling and selling a dozen or more “handyman specials” throughout the years, Stephan became a full-time Realtor in one of the toughest real estate markets in history. He was named Rookie of the Year in 2008 and, with a lot of hard work and creative marketing, was awarded the top honor of Fayette County Realtor of the Year in 2011. He has acted as Auctioneer for multiple charity events and served on the Noel November committee for 5 years as Chairman for the Fayette County Board of Realtor’s event and raised a record amount since the event’s inception 17 years ago. One of the organizations Stephan is most passionate about is the Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta. As a foster parent to Golden Retrievers of every age, size and temperament, he placed many in their “forever homes” and has rescued and found homes for other breeds of dogs and cats. Stephan has also been actively involved in a local program that provides children and young adults with someone who will listen or a shoulder to cry on as they experience upheavals or traumatic events in their lives. In the fall of 2013, Stephan established St. Nick’s Closet as his way of making a difference through the volunteer and charity work that he finds to be so rewarding.

This is Gucci, Gucci has some kidney stones. We sent the X-Rays to AMC for a second opinion. And it turns out it's the case and very painful because of where they are. So we need to get him into surgery asap while we raise the funds. The Estimate we Recieved was $2000.00. Harold is a handsome 2 year old that wound up in the shelter and tested Heartworm Positive. Harold will be starting treatment and can't wait to see him find his forever home.

This sweet little kitten was found lying in the middle of the road, a kind person took her in and noticed she wasn't very active as a 2 month old should be. We got her to the vet and thankfully nothing broken just inflammation in the kidneys. Doctors weren't optimistic about her Forcast but the girl that found her is hoping for a miracle. She went home today and will be on meds hoping for improvement

Beautiful Harriett tested positive for Heartworms, as long as we can we are committed to helping shelter dogs with Heartworms. She is being treated. Hoping for a happy ending and she finds her forever home.

This is Cece, rescued from a kill shelter, tested positive for hearworms, she was just rescued 2 weeks ago and new owners were not expecting to have a dog with heartworms. She was coughing and not acting like normal. We were able to get her to the vet to find out she has a upper respiratory infection. We have started treatment for both.

Handsome Ford wound up in the shelter and tested Heartworm Positive, St Nicks is going forward with treatment. Hopefully Ford's forever home is right around the corner.

This is Mack, he showed up at someone's house with lots of cuts and open wounds. Seems he was in a fight most likely un neutered male standing his ground. He is headed to AMC to get checked out and while they are stiching him up with are going to have neutered. The wonderful couple will foster him till he is ready to go back to his old life hopefully with less fights.

Hello everyone, just want to say hello and just because I haven't posted anything in a while, sometimes life gets crazy and you forget to post that 1 animal in my case the 5 dogs and cats we sent to AMC, as well as the dog and cat we handled In Palm coast. Not sure what happened to the pictures but just wanted to show you where the donations are going.
Things are slowing down for me so hopefully I won't forget to post. And yes everything is fine, moved mom to fla, worked on getting her settled, created a treasure quest here for kids and of course enjoying the beaches and kayaking. Some of you reached out and wanted to check on me. Everything is OK thanks for all the love always.

These 3 dogs wound up at the shelter. All tested Heartworm Positve, St Nicks will be treating them for the Heartworm so hopefully they will have a chance to find there forever home.

Philip and Bubba both wound up at the shelter and both Tested positive for Heartworm, Our main goal is always to help the shelter dogs first so they may have a chance of finding the forever home. We will start them on treatment asap.

About Us
St. Nick’s Closet is a (c)(3) Charitable Organization based in that provides the Financial assistance for the abused and neglected Animals in Fayette and Coweta County. The St. Nicks Heartship fund helps abused and neglected animals in our community that would be put to sleep without the assistance from St. Nicks Closet.
During the most current years, St. Nick’s Closet has extended its arms to reach out and help numerous animals who have been injured, abandoned, neglected, and /or left at local shelters for care. This endeavor to help resulted in the Hardship Fund branch of St. Nick’s Closet. As the title suggests, the animals who benefit from this group are, truly, hardship cases. The name of the fund has emerged into the Heartship Fund because the will to help these animals in need truly comes from the heart.
Frequently, St. Nick’s Closet becomes the primary caregiver who initially finds the needy animal, administers first-aid, and determines the physical needs of the animals, transports it to a vetenarian, pays for its medical expenses, and personally delivers it to a local shelter. Ultimately, St. Nick’s Closet helps to find forever homes for these helpless animals. Quite often if St. Nick’s funds are low, Stephan Curcio, the Charity’s founder, pays for the animals’ care and treatment out of his own pocket with the ongoing faith and hope that with the charity’s next fundraiser, monies will be raised to sufficiently cover any expenses. With St. Nick’s Closet, the animal in need is its first priority, and Stephan gets help for him, even if it means he will not receive any reimbursement.

This 6 week old puppy had a rough day, recieved a call from a women who was sitting in the parking lot with this puppy she found yesterday. The puppy had a pr*****ed A**l. We wound up getting it to the vet and have him fixed up he will be spending the next couple of days at AMC getting dewormed and he will be watched for a few days. Update on the dog with the tumor we are still working out a plan and she is getting tested.

Dec 18th found and just 3 weeks later with a little love, Harlow is smart, confident, extremely smart, rides well in the car and is learning commands, We feel he is ready to go to his forever home and what he is looking for is a strong leader, he loves people and animals and most of all he loves structure. He can have a little anxiety when you leave but that will change when he builds confidence. We are looking for a rescue that can place him or his forever home. If you are interested let us know

This is Duke. Duke was hit by a car and thankfully AMC was able to get him in today, not fault of the owner —he was walking the dog and a stray dog came out of no where and he bolted. An unexpected expense they just couldn't handle. Duke has a fractured paw and lots of open wounds, first we will treat the wounds and worry about the fracture after the infection clears.

Update on Dreamer: Skin had a ton of Bacteria, ears are full of yeast, and also has Demodex which is the underlying reason for skin getting so bad. She was sent to her foster home with medicated shampoo and antibiotics, ear ointment-- but she will be fine. May take a few weeks

This is Shep, he showed up at someone's house last year with a broken leg, the Family worked on getting him surgery and everything was going great till one day he stopped using his leg, sores started to develop and as you can see it looks like both legs have anissue, they have been waiting on a rescue waitlist but I think its time for them to find a rescue that knows about German Shepards or a loving forever home. The Family that found him wanted to keep him but Shep enjoyed chasing and attacking the chickens. We had xrays done and he will be going on Medication —he will need a little help walking till he builds up muscle in his legs. If you know anyone interested, please reach out to us.
She is a adult dog and she is weighting 23 lbs.
