We are so thankful for you, Peace Wings!❤️❤️

Peace Wings is proud to partner with the Human Animal Bond Trust (HABT). For over 30 years, the HABT has made Denver's Pet Loss Support Group free to the public. Staffed by licensed therapists, this important resource has long recognized the depth of the love we feel for our pets, honored the bond we share with them, and supported the grieving and healing process for countless members of our community after the loss of their pet.

As funding has waned over the years, it has become difficult to continue to pay the therapists that staff the support group -- some of whom have been serving our community since the inception of the Pet Loss Support Group.

Every time we help a pet say good-bye, we donate to HABT in his or her name. Every few months, we will continue to bring forward the names of the beloved pets in whose memory we donate.

In October, November, and December 2023, we said goodbye to these beloved souls:

As of April 2023, Peace Wings began donating a portion of the proceeds from end-of-life care for each of our patients to support the important work done by the Human Animal Bond Trust.

Pets are special companions. They are a significant part of our daily lives - how they greet us in the morning, the little nuances of their personalities, how they provide care to us when we are hurting... They are naturally therapeutic, genuine, and an important part of our families.
And... our grief for our pets isn't always recognized because some view them as "just a pet". For those who experience this, we acknowledge you.
We are thinking of all who are grieving for a special pet, and holding you in our hearts. Today we take time to honor the beloved pets of our lives and invite you to share about your animal companions. Tell us about them!

We have a special Pet Loss Memorial event happening on Saturday, April 15th at 11am at HeartLight Center, and invite anyone in the area to join in this space of mourning and sharing together. Link in bio!
