AWASA Animal Welfare Alliance of Southern Arizona is a 501(c)3 who's mission is to bring about an end to companion animal overpopulation. www.awasa.org

AWASA is a 501.c.3 animal welfare organization. The main goal of the organization is to help end companion animal and feral overpopulation by utilizing strategies such as sterilization, education, and legislation. For the past 10 years, AWASA has received grants from the county and licensing fees specifically dedicated to its spay and neuter program. AWASA has been able to spay and neuter more tha

n 3,000 pets annually, preventing countless animals from being born and eventually euthanized due to overpopulation. Tammi Barrick - President
President Tammi Barrick has been on the AWASA Board for four years. She began as a member-at-large, then filled the seat as secretary. Tammi also currently volunteers her time and talents for Foundation for Animals in Risk (FAIR) both as a Board member and Canine Director. She has been a past president of FAIR. Bonnie Kay - Vice President
Driven by a passion for social justice, Bonnie Kay has been on the Board for four years. Along with this passion, as Vice President she excels on special projects like the 2008 Animal Resource Directory, Casa Maria vaccination clinics in South Tucson, Pet Food projects, and the Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) educational seminar.
