My name is Dibley ~ A Treeing Walker Coonhound who was cast away, discarded, thrown out like trash. My luck changed when TLS found me!!

How I came to The London Sanctuary - TLS President & Founder, Jay Cannaday, was driving home from a trip to the store. For reasons unknown he took a different route home than what he normally does, and that is when fate brought us together. You see my disheveled 25lb body was staggering up a side road in Baker County when I sniffed out the scent of a hound savior. He pulled over, scooped me up and

then took me to this really nice lady Jill at Room & Groom who bathed me and tried to help me with the itching from the flea infestation I was suffering. Then it was off to the vet where I was vaccinated, de-wormed, treated for fleas, and tested for heart-worms. I came out negative (YAY for me)!! It will be a long road back to health but TLS will take pawsome care of me. Thank you to all the wonderful TLS supporters who have donated for my care. You are a fantastic village of Angels! ~ Woof

Today is Dibley’s gotcha day!

This morning while grooming my four houndlings I had to use what horse people call a shedding blade on Dibley. Sometimes he gets a little...not really matted on his bumhind, but the fur doesn't come off as neatly as the rest of him. I gently held his tail up and groomed his butt. The look on his face was priceless. After his grooming, he retreated to the other side of the room with a look on his face like "I've been violated!" LOL such drama.

It was seven years ago today that our Dibley was found staggering up the road here in Baker County. Now, of course, he’s fat and spoiled rotten up in Massachusetts! Here are some day one, 22 pound pictures I just came across. FB isn’t cooperating so I’ll post them in comments. Hopefully.
