Just when you think things can’t get any better, something like this happens. GCH Mystic Zen’s 7th Heaven, Camden, wins Best of Breed in Orlando today, in a hugely competitve lineup of 120 plus goldens. Words can’t express how I feel right now. A huge thank you to Team Black and Gold, we love you four so much!! A huge thank you to my best friend and mentor, Alan for always supporting and guiding me, and slowing me to breed to Marshall. A huge thank you to co- breeder, the amazing and iconic Beth Johnson for entrusting me with Scarlet. And a huge thank you to my husband and kennel sponsor, Brent. None of this would have been possible without these amazing people. Best belated birthday present ever.

Introducing AKC Grand Champion Mystic Zen’s On The Money, Cody ( pending AKC verification). Yesterday, in Woodland, CA, at the Santa Cruz Kennel Club show, under esteemed Judge Ekarat Sangkunakup, and skilled handling of Team Black N Gold, Cody earned his 4th GCH major by winning breed in a beautiful and very competitive lineup. A huge thank you to Team Black and Gold, the judge, co-owner Morgan Pelowski, co-breeder Beth Johnson, and to Alan Gunther ( owner of Cody’s exquisite sire, Marshall). Cody is 25 months old and the third GCH from the Marshall ex Scarlet litter. So blown away by this litter. Official photo coming soon.

Mystic Zen Golden Retrievers

We are a preservation breeder of AKC Golden Retrievers that participate in AKC conformation and enjoying performing therapy work. We breed sparingly and selectively; with complete full genetic testing on all of our dogs, as well as OFA hip/elbow, Penn Hip, Cardiologist heart, MSU thyroid, and yearly eye clearances. Our puppies are reared in the home utilizing behavior shaping and modification techniques (Cheryl worked in the ABA field with humans for more than 20 years) which paves a solid foundation for a confident puppy that understands what it means to live and thrive in a human household. Each breeding is carefully considered to optimize health, temperament and to uphold the Golden Retriever Breed Standand. We are located in central, coastal California.
