Dumped rats now living their best life
So I'm sure alot of you remember not too long ago a very kind person managed to rescue 2 rats she found in her local wood that had obviously been dumped the white one was named cotton and is very shy and the brown one is named pebbles and well I think this video from their new mum says it all about her, ps she's been told she's got no receipt so she can't return it as faulty lol
Update on the 4 girls who needed picked up urgently
So the lovely lady who collected them had actually previously owned rats for many years and they hit the jackpot because she quickly fell in love with them and decided to keep them, they are currently on a wee holiday with me and these girls are absolutely adorable and very sweet, one definitely has a few screws loose she's hilarious (little dark grey one), they are new to tickle chase and my bracelet banging on the metal kept giving them a little fright but they are definitely getting into this game.
Although the colour of a rat doesn't ever matter to me I don't even know the official terms of all the colours but this silver girl is possibly the most beautiful colour of rat I have ever seen and add the dumbo ears and she's even cuter!
UPDATE: Unfortunately frank passed away the night before I could get him to see my specialist vet and no other vet I contacted wanted to try deal with a tiny wild mouse 😔
Frank the wild mouse
Despite the rescue being shut I will always help an animal in need
Ended up with this poor wee mouse after my cat brought it home and unfortunately it has lost the end of its tail, it's still very full of life otherwise so I didn't feel right having it pts so I'm off to see my wonderful vet on monday which could mean amputation.
This poor mouse is now called Frank cause the vet asked for a name and I panicked and for some reason frank is always the first name that comes to me 😂
Any donations to its care would be greatly appreciated. PayPal is [email protected]

Video is of the 6 resident rescues ben and amy the 2 wildies I hand reared, roxy the black hooded who came in with lots of babies when she was only a baby herself, willard who is an example of how not all rat are intelligent he will just fall straight out a hammock if you pick up a packet of treats because he gets too excited 😂, katy who likes to bite everyone that isnt me and lulu who looks sweet but is a bully in the cage
Baby rats update
Sorry I havent posted in a while I've been ran off my feet with baby rats, unfortunately one of the mums passed on a respitory infection to the babies and it also passed on to one of the residents so I've ended up with 9 rats on medication, 3 of the babies got sick while still very small and unfortunately one didnt make it but the other 2 are gradually catching up and everyone is starting to sound alot better. The 14 baby girls and one of the mums got upgraded the full liberta explorer today (some of the girls had been in a seperate group as they were sick but since it seemed to be viral and they had all been exposed I decided to put them back together) so that took me several hour to set up but here is the finished cage before they have had a chance to trash it 😂
Not sure why I tickle them it makes them so hyper 😂
UPDATE: At this point the vet is not entirely sure what the lump is so I am trying some warm compresses to see if we can draw anything out if this doesnt work and it grows more she will need an op within the next few days! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the compresses work as it is far from ideal having to put her through an op especially with her having young babies who aremt eating by themself yet!
Yet another vet trip!
Please dont message applying for these babies I will post when they are available
I've had 2 mums come in Aria (in video) with 13 babies and Masie with 11 babies. Aria has developed a lump on her neck and is being taken to the vet today.
Any donations would be a massive help, donate to [email protected] through paypal. Thanks Mairi x
