Our rescue coordinator at GCAS marked him at Day 2️⃣4️⃣2️⃣ today. 🥺 Cookie is simply amazing. He walks well on a leash, has great manners and knows many commands such as stay, come, sit, and paw.
He is the first dog I go and get to walk when I open the kennel hall door, and his excitement for every single walk or time in the play yard is undescribable. He has pure joy and appreciation, and every day that passes, I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, as if I have let him down. As an avid dog lover, there are certain dogs that you have different bonds with. Cookie is my boy for life! 💯 Staff loves him. Volunteers love him. And yet, hardly any applications for him???
I can not accept that. We have found forever homes for the dogs that I was told were “impossible” to adopt, so I’m not stopping. There IS a forever home something out there for Cookie, and I will not let up.
⭐️ SIMPLE & FUNCTIONAL WORKOUT ✅✅✅

All you need is a towel or band of some sort! 💯 Although these moves appear to be “easy”, they are more for functionality and range of motion to aid in every day activities:) A simple ➕ effective Friday video to save and try sometime!

WORKOUT:
- Complete one round of each for 50 reps each.

Remember, this is to address range of motion and the functioning of various muscle groups through the entire motion. Controlled movements, not rushed or sloppy. 💯
🚀 QUICK HOME UPPER BODY WORKOUT ✅✅✅

If you don’t have much time to workout, the key is making your workouts effective. 💯 While this is an upper body workout, you can add in some foot and ankle stability within the swimmer flutters as shown. For me, I’m still rehabbing my ankle and foot injury from last November. Unfortunately, snapping two ligaments in your ankle and breaking your fifth metatarsal in your foot all in one shot is not an easy recovery! 😳😳😳 Many of the exercises I do, I challenge my ankle and foot to work the range of motions. You can opt to complete this exercise strictly using just the upper portion of your body.

WORKOUT:
- 1 minute plank up downs
- 30 secs swimmer flutters 🏊♂️
- 1 minute 🦀 dips

Depending on your fitness level and goals, you can choose to perform these back to back for a specific time frame, or aim for a specific number of rounds, with a resting period after each. 🤙🏽
