Molly is a 8 year old Old English Sheepdog/Shepard mix. She has been missing since 02.02.2020. She was wearing purple collar with Sterling Heights license tag. She was microchipped as a puppy. Molly lives in Sterling Heights but was in Mt. Clemens, Michigan near North Avenue when she ran out the front door. Her owners were on vacation and she was being cared for by owner's daughter. She was likely trying to find them. Molly is a great dog that has never run off before. She is timid with strangers. Her family has been desperately searching day and night. Dearest Nation, we continue to play catch up on the everyday spending we incur for our daily operations.

This is Heaven Bee - the dog trembling in her shelter video that went viral (in a bad way). As a result of the negativity that surrounded her post, we stopped updating in the manner that she needed. This was detrimental to Heaven, as she is still urgently seeking someone to foster or adopt her.

I've created a brief video that details some of her backstory and current situation, which I'll post in the comments below. The goal of this post is to raise the $4000 necessary for her behavior modification AND to find someone who can help her ❤

We are 2 cats away from being completely booked!! This is scary for us. We have already had 31 cats surrendered to the shelter in the month of July and we aren’t even halfway through with the month. We are getting more cats surrendered to us than we are adopting them out. We can’t find homes quick enough 😢. We are in desperate need of families who are able to adopt today or rescues that may have a little extra space for a kitty or two...

Although we are open admissions, which means we can’t turn away animals even if we are full, we still ask that you PLEASE hold off on surrendering your cat until we can move the ones we already have. If you MUST surrender your pet, please call ahead of time and let the shelter staff know you are coming.

If you find a stray cat, and it is friendly and doesn’t appear to be in immediate need of medical care, LEAVE IT ALONE and allow it to go back home. If you believe the cat is sick or Injured please call us and we will be happy to assist.

We open at 11am today for walk-ins. Cat adoptions are $10.00

Dolly is happy, healthy and has the most lustrous coat. Dolly loves being loved on. She basks in pets, hugs and attention. With her laid back personality, she loves anyone she comes in contact with-from the groomer to the vet. She loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She has quickly adjusted to the routines and is very responsive to her foster mama. She occasionally gets playful but even in her playfulness she is not hight energy and prefers to nap, lay down and be comfy.

Dolly is very smart and receptive to commands. She knows her name, come, back, sit, shake and is great on leash. She is friendly with other dogs. Cats are unknown. Foster mama believes she would have no issues with cats. Possessive over a treat but responds well to correction and stops behavior immediately. When being hand fed a treat, she takes it so gently from the hand.

Dolly likes car rides and jumps in/out on her own. She uses a doggie door and is 100% house broken (no accidents) She does like to bark, however is responsive when told that is enough. Dollie communicates with whines and barks. She is an animated, happy and contented little lady and will make the perfect addition to your family.

"IF YOU DON'T TAKE THEM, WE'RE TURNING THEM LOOSE ON THE STREET"

These were the words told to us, only minutes ago, by someone who came by our New Orleans location. We have NO ROOM. We have hardly any donations coming in. Our adoptions have come to almost a screeching halt. We are in the same sinking boat that all the other shelters and rescues are in...especially those in the South.

Yes, we know:

1. People need to spay their dogs but with the economy the way it is, many can't afford it. But yes, we agree. This is the #1 thing that needs to happen.

2. We know that some people can suck. We see and talk to those people every single day.

We KNOW all of this. But this doesn't help us NOW. Any donations you can spare (and we know times are very hard right now) but even $1.00 will help.

UPDATE: Anyone interested in Baby and Ms. Kitty needs to submit an application for adoption to the Tunica Humane Society. We have a process we follow to insure every animal we take into our care has the best possible outcome for a happy future. I can assure everyone commenting on this thread, the Tunica Humane Society will move Heaven and Earth to get these precious pets back into a loving, home environment just as soon as we find the right solution for them. If you are truly interested in adopting, go to our website and get your application submitted asap. We have a proven track record in situations such as this. We have handled countless pets that had nowhere to go when their owners passed away. We always do our very best to provide them a loving transition into another home. We are committed to making the right decision for Baby and Ms. Kitty. In the meantime, we are doing all we can to make them feel safe and loved while in our care.

This is Baby. She is 10 years old. Her mom passed away in Tunica on Monday. The woman had no other family besides Baby and her elderly cat, Ms. Kitty. Today they came to stay with us.

This precious little dog's life has been turned upside down. She was trembling in fear when she was brought to our shelter.

Ms. Kitty is now hiding in our catroom. The girls couldn't get a picture of her because she immediately buried herself under a chair.

Praying tomorrow will be easier for these two lost souls. Bless their hearts. They have no way of understanding what has happened to their lives.

I have no doubt, both Baby and Ms. Kitty will come around quickly once we get them back into loving homes.

They do not have to be adopted together. It is critical to their well-being that we get them back into a quieter and more peaceful environment asap. That's what matters most.

PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME (Potentially HOSPICE) NEEDED: Spayed female shepherd mix who weighs only 42 pounds. This poor girl finds herself in a big shelter, diabetic and already blind - she can hear just fine. She is very good with nice dogs (don't know about cats but no reason to think that would be a problem), housebroken, does well on a leash, and is stiff but mobile enough. Managing diabetes isn't easy and would require twice-daily insulin injections plus a good deal of monitoring to keep the disease regulated, but if you have it in your heart to take on a challenge then this girl would so love to hear from you.

Pretty girl Chloe is available for adoption ONLY in Texas. She must have a fenced yard and will do best as an only pet. She is timid and has some little quirks but is a very loving girl. Precious Olympus is recovering and has a ton of interested folks who want to adopt him - thank God.

If you aren’t familiar with his story, he was essentially left out in freezing temps and starving last Sunday, out side of the shelter. The Director got him help and the vets saved his life (thank God because he was touch and go). If you want updates, you can find it on the Richmond Animal Control’s FB page.

Please read Tyson’s heartbreaking story 🙏

Tyson is a 6 week old Pit Bull Terrier mix and was found trying to nurse on his deceased momma.

He had 2 siblings and they were all picked up by a Good Samaritan. Unfortunately, his siblings both passed away and we were asked to help the remaining pup. His gums were white and he became lethargic. He was taken to Blue Pearl where he was diagnosed with parvo.

The good news is it was caught early and Tyson is proving to be a fighter - even if he’s only 3.5lbs ❤️
