Further to my last post .... When Glenn painted Wilf and came up with the idea for the fundraising t-shirt, his wife Jeanette sent me this brilliant photograph. It really does sum up the hundreds of other smiling happy pictures I was sent of people proudly wearing their shirts, amazingly from all over the world! Glenn did this.

Today, Jeanette and Glenn's family and friends gathered to celebrate Glenn's life and Jeanette sent me this lovely message:

"We said goodbye to Glenn today and what else could I wear but my Wilf t shirt. It got loads of compliments and someone asked where they could buy one! (When I explained they then suggested we do another run of of them. Not sure about that - although would have no objection at all if you wanted to do it.)"

So, my question now is:

** Would anyone like a new Wilf t shirt? **

I can look into it and will work with Jeanette to direct all proceeds to a charity she supports to honour Glenn, split with a cat charity we can all decide on?

Hello x

Obviously I don't post here these days but ... I've just heard the very sad news that talented artist Glenn Collinson who painted the Wilf picture that became the fundraising t-shirt has passed away unexpectedly.

We raised over £1.5k to donate to the charity Lost Cats Brighton from the sale of Wilf's t-shirts which was only possible due to Glenn's generosity in offering his painting as the image. I now have two of Glenn's paintings of Wilf here in my home in Edinburgh and they're always a talking point for guests (I Airbnb my spare room 🙂 ) so the Wilf story still gets told and his artwork is always admired.

The Wilf community was always so incredbily supportive so please, if you can, please take a moment today to send some good wishes out into the ether for Glenn's lovely wife Jeanette, his family and friends.

It doesn't seem possible that it's *FIVE* years ago today since we lost our beloved Wilf. Five years!

He is forever in our hearts and now that the grief is not so awfully raw as it was back then, the memories of his gentlemanly presence bring nothing but smiles. But oh, he is missed. 😔

Meanwhile, life in Brighton for Vladimir and Rory with Staff #2 remains very cushty indeed - and life in Edinburgh for Staff #1 has been enriched by the adoption of Neep (who has the same gentleman vibes and broad kissable head of Wilf 🥰) and the idiot, eternal kitten Tattie.

I vowed not to adopt more rescue cats after the distress of Wilf passing .... but 4 more cats in my life later (RIP, MR Patch 💔), I genuinely beleive that somehow Wilf had a hand in changing my mind.

I do hope everyone is well xx

Tomorrow, 6th October, marks four whole years since we lost Wilf.

It also marks a new start for Staff #1, as it's the day I leave Fiveways for a new adventure in Scotland.

After almost 27 years living in this lovely community who embraced Wilf and his wanderings with so much kindness, it's a strange feeling to be moving on, but the time is right.

It always surprised me how Wilf caught the attention of so many people around the world - the thought of this shall always warm my heart and make me smile and those memories are so incredibly precious to me and will always remain so regardless of where I am. I still miss him *every single day* but, more than anything, I feel so privileged to have had his amazing little self in my life.

Thank you for letting me share him with you. This is the last update I will post to this page, so please take care and heartfelt thanks again for being part of this lovely little corner of the internet.
