Rocky is a fabulous Himalyan mixed kitty. He is 5 years old and is the product of a divorce. Dad did not want him and Mom couldn't have a pet in her apartment. He stayed alone in their home until sold and the Mom panicked and said if someone did not take him she was just going to turn him outside!!! We were contacted by a friend of the family and of course agreed to take him in. He is a sweet boy. It has taken him a moment to warm up to his foster mom after being alone but she says he loves to be petted, and rub up against her. He is a very loving handsome boy. After warming up to his new place he has gotten along well with the foster family’s other kitty. He is vetted - neutered, rabies vaccine, current vaccine, microchipped and FIV/FELUK negative. If you think Rocky is a fit for you please fill out an application. Thank you!

This is Juney and she is available in Ma for adoption. She is a Rat Terrier mix. Juney is great with kids and other dogs but isn’t a fan of cats & Guinea pigs. She tends to fixate on them and bark. She is currently being fostered on the Cape and is available for meet & greets with approved application. Here’s what her foster family has to say about her -
Juney aka Juney B aka Looney Juney available for adoption. 8-9 months old, full grown at 30 pounds, she’s learning to listen and working on her manners, which are improving. Potty trained and ok in her crate but would rather be with her people. She is the best snuggler around, she loves to sleep in our bed and burrow in. She looks like a baby fox or maybe a prairie dog. Very sassy, thinks she’s big and isn’t afraid to swat at the bigger dogs. She’s very busy and wants to be part of everything. She LOVES to be held. Takes a minute to warm up to strangers and then just wants to climb in a lap. She is the perfect size. I wish she could stay here but alas, it’s not my day…Fostered on Cape. If you’d like to make her part of your family please apply at Cenla Alliance For Animals

About Us
Cenla Alliance for Animals (CAFA) is a 501c(3) non-profit volunteer-driven dog and cat rescue organization based in Alexandria, Louisiana who also serves the New England area, established in 2010. We are licensed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut and serve the surrounding New England states.
We are dedicated to rescuing abandoned, homeless, abused and neglected animals to help find them permanent responsible loving homes. We promote and assist with local spay/neuter to help our community in trying to lower overpopulated pets for low-income families and those in need of help. Many of our dogs and cats come from overcrowded high kill shelters, abandoned at dump sites, abandoned in the wilderness or in the city roaming the streets seeking help as well as those homes that need help when in unfortunate situations where the owner can no longer care for the pet.
We use commercial rescue and personal transport to safely drive our rescue animals to New England to their new homes and foster homes. Dogs in our care are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, parvo/distemper and bordetella, micro chipped, and given flea and tick and heartworm prevention. They are also treated for heartworms if tested positive and any additional medical care deemed necessary while in our care.
We have a foster-based network that provides care and love to each one of our rescues until they are adopted in New England. If a dog or cat is not in New England in a foster home yet and you are interested in adopting, you can speak to the Louisiana foster who can provide information, videos and pictures to make an informed decision with you and adopt sight unseen.
Thanks to all of you that helped us raise money for last Saturday’s Always Adopt event. It was amazing and at least 24 of our dogs found the most wonderful homes!!! A huge shoutout to all of our rockstar fosters, volunteers and adopters. We kicked off the weekend with 6 adoptions on Friday with pre-approved applicants that scheduled a meet & greet. We were especially fortunate this year that we had over 18 volunteers from Merrill-Bank of America helping us with the dogs on Friday. Special thanks to Rumford Pets for always supporting us❤️.
My name is Hazelnut and I am a loner looking for another loner. I like who I like and don’t want to share them with another pet. My foster mom, Amy, says I am a beautiful soul. I am a purebred Boxer and I have a beautiful brindle coat and puppy dog eyes. I’ve been in foster care for about 2 years. My only downfall is that I don’t like other animals near my people. I am not aggressive, and don’t seek out other animals to be mean, I just don’t like it if they come in my space. I am super loving to people and give the biggest, longest hugs ever. I ride great in a vehicle, love water, walk great on a leash and love hiking and spending time with my people. I mind really well and I’m super smart. I’m about 80 pounds and estimated to be 5-6 years old but you can’t tell by my energy level. I was rescued from impending death at a shelter where I only weighed about 45 pounds. I deserve better than foster care, even-though Amy is amazing to me. I deserve my own home and people. I know there is a perfect home for me in New England. I even think with some training, dedication and patience, I could overcome some of my issues.
🙏Please share🙏 It’s hurting my foster mom’s heart that I’ve not been adopted yet or even received one application. They say that there is someone for every …… so Someone please see my post and adopt me ❤️

Willow was adopted from CAFA in March of 2021 and has some learned some good communication skills. If your CAFA rescue can communicate as well as Willow has…add a video in comments and translate for us. Don’t forget to include adoption date and name of your rescue.
Felix is a little over a year old Hound mix
**Adopted**
Felix is a a little over a year old Hound mix. He is super sweet dog with a very calm personality. He is so attentive to his humans. If you walk in the room, he immediately gets up to be by your side. If you don’t pet him, he will give you a little nudge which is irresistible. Felix is house trained and sits on command. Felix is playful without being very hyper. He does not jump up so he would be perfect with kids of all ages. Felix will be a wonderful addition to any family.
Felix will be at the Nov. 4th Always Adopt event at Clark Farms but if you are interested in adopting him or having a meet and greet the Friday before the event, get pre-approved now!!! Submit an application today.
