Amber Iris Farm We raise quality, registered Miniature Horses (AMHA/AMHR) specializing in champagne and dun with many carrying splash, overo, tobiano and roan.

Welcome to Amber Iris Farm. We are huge fans of the rare champagne gene and we also absolutely LOVE the primitive dun gene. Our favorite being a combination of both the dun and champagne genes. We are also huge fans of diluted eyes. Which consequently was the inspiration for our farm name.

Confirmed two mares this morning! I'm kinda a wait and see girl A-because no vets in my area will do ultrasounds on minis and B-it's just how I kinda roll. So I have mares due starting at the end of March, I've had suspicions on a few but this morning I felt foals rolling and wriggling in two mares I checked. First, Bella who is pictured first is due the end of March/beginning of April and is bred to Denim who is pictured second. This will be Denim's first foal. Lots of color genetics in this cross. Two splash genes, two cream genes, one tobiano gene, one dun gene, one silver gene...agouti, black, red, lots at potential play here. Second (and I'm excited about this one) we have Mazey who is pictured third. She has not settled or stayed in foal for over 3 years. So I'm so excited she's in foal! She's bred to Legend who is pictured fourth. Legend is homozygous black so the foal will be black, silver black, grulla or silver grulla with the possibility of tobiano. Fingers crossed for healthy foals and mares. ❤️

We are huge fans of the rare champagne gene and we also absolutely LOVE the primitive dun gene. Our favorite being a combination of both the dun and champagne genes. We also love our Kune Kune pigs, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Puggy dogs and our random barn cats!
