HURRY, HURRY, HURRY: LAP-CATS CALLIE (4) and ELLIE (2) are still waiting for a 5 star loving home. A housing crisis has forced the family to part with their much-loved puss cats. They had made arrangements for the care of Callie and Ellie but were let down so it's now very urgent.

Callie and Ellie are very affectionate. They love the company of people, gentle children and have lived happily with a friendly dog and another cat. They prefer domestic life - would like to be able to pop out into a safe garden but don't wander far.

HELP NEEDED. PLEASE HELP US TO FIND THESE TWO PAIRS OF LAP CATS LOVING HOMES. We posted appeals for mum and daughter Callie (4) and Ellie (2) recently. We have also set up and appeal for lap cats - sisters Oreo and Flash (5). (See details on their posts).

Its really are urgent due to housing crisis. It’s a v sad situation. In each case the families are devistated to have to part with their very affectionate companions. They have no choice. Please spread the word - share and tell your friends. Like all the rescue groups across the country there are so few homes being offered and so many pets needing homes.

Playtime with Mr Fluffy and Boy (15 weeks) - confident, cuddly kittens who have had the best start in life. They would be very happy to join a loving forever home individually. Their brother Peter is settling well in his family, now it's the turn for these fellas. They are big healthy kittens who have had all their injections, regular flea and worm and health checks. We will neuter with one of our local vet practices when they are old enough. They will make ideal family puss cats - together or separately. They are with their foster mum (and playmate!), Amber. INTRODUCING CALLIE (4) AND ELLIE (2). We would like find a loving home for these two lap cats (ideally together).

These very affectionate girls originally came from Cyprus in 2023 - their English is now purrfect of course. A sad parting as their family had to move home and were unable to keep them. They love attention and the comforts of domestic life. They do venture outdoors but not far. They love gentle children and their gentle family dog. If homed separately Callie could be happy as an indoor only (if she had lots of human company and cuddles). Ellie would like the opportunity to go out into a safe garden. So if you are seeking feline companion/s and are a more home based cat lover/s these girls tick all the boxes.

They are facing eviction and have to find homes for their cats and dog who they adore. Oreo and Flash are very sweet natured and loving. They have grown up with children and the family dog. MR FLUFF AND BOY (13 weeks) are ready to go to loving homes. In this video they seem to find their foster mum’s vertical blinds hilarious 😸😸. They love human company and would love to be setting in forever home/s soon. We are setting up meetings this weekend so please contact us asap if you could offer a 5 star loving home one or both. £££££££ SADLY, THERE IS NO NHS FOR ANIMALS ££££££££: In the past 10 years the cost of veterinary treatment have gone up by about 50% (about 30% since the pandemic)! This has serious implications for rescue groups and those of us who have or would like to have a pet. Routine veterinary treatments are expensive. But most importantly we need to have an idea about how to cope with bills if they become ill or have an accident. Some of us open a kitty saving account and make monthy transfers, most of us take up pet insurance. We are really worried about the folk who don’t bother or sadly those who can’t.

Last week a very sweet youngster was hit by a car. He was in a lot of pain and owners brought him to the vet and he was examined. The poor boy had a fractured humerus. The cost of treatment was about £3000! Sadly the owners could not afford the treatment and signed him over. Without help he would have to be put to sleep. We were called by the surgery and I was asked if we could take him on. Given the options I couldn’t say no. Thankfully we have medical expertise within our foster team and we can save money by providing nursing care and avoiding the cost of hospitalization. We are calling this boy Orpheus.

Orpheus spent the weekend in the care of his foster mum, who is a vet nurse. He went into surgery this morning. He is now out of surgery and it has all gone well. We are grateful to the vet practice for giving us the opportunity to save this boy and I believe the vets will give us a generous discount.

This is not the first time we have been asked to take on a seriously injured puss cat in need of expensive life saving treatment. Once more we will ask for the help of other kind cat lovers and do an appeal when I know the costs.

A CHANCE TO ADOPT MR FLUFFY AND/OR BOY

Another chance to see Sabrina's kittens - now 3 months old. The little grey kitten, Peter, is now happily settling into his new forever home with a lovely family. His bigger brothers, Mr Fluffy and 'Boy' are now ready to go to theirs. They have all had the very best start in life. Full of confidence, happy and very affectionate. We seek the very best homes for our kitties and we want these boys to be cherished, safe and well cared for. they will want access to a garden in safe location when they are older. THESE DELIGHTFUL KITTENS ARE READY TO GO - together or separately. They are super boys - filled with confidence, energy and charm. They are very playful and affectionate and have had the very best start in life in foster mum, Amber's playroom. They would be ideal family cats in a home with gentle children and/or adult cat lovers. They have had all their injections and have their bags (and toys) packed. When they are old enough our vet will neuter them. As always, its only the best for Mitzi's Kitties and we seek homes where they will be cherished, safe and well cared for. CHRISTMAS PLAY TIME - All over Devon (Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset etc) more than 700 Mitzi Graduates are helping their attentive 'servants' to prepare for Christmas. Here are some of the Forever Home Christmas Cards we have already received. Please add some of your own (if you dare!!).
