We rely on our rescue farm in Camden and foster
homes to care for the dogs
between being rescued and heading up north. Fostering Foster Animal Rescue was founded by Andrea Walker and a close knit group of devoted animal rescuers that were determined to make a difference in their community. Fostering Foster Animal Rescue is a volunteer driven nonprofit. We are dedicated to rescuing animals, primari

ly dogs, that are in southern kill shelters and that are in desperate need of help. We know that spay and neuter is one way to reduce the number of animals on death row in shelters. We primarily collaborate with northern rescues, shelters and animal leagues to save as many lives as possible. We rely on foster homes to help us save lives and donations to keep us funded. The more foster homes and supporters that we have the more lives we can save. We believe that all dogs have tales to tell and we believe in giving them the chance to wag their tails. All dogs deserve to be loved and cherished and to enrich the lives of their humans. Through community involvement and social awareness we know that one day every dog will have a home. Our founder's very first foster dog was Foster- this rescue's mascot- and boy, oh, boy did Foster have some tales to tell, like how he stole Andrea's heart and became her forever boy. For 15 years, Foster and Andrea were side by side saving lives. In Foster's memory, Fostering Foster Animal Rescue is still saving the lives of animals in need. Our last rescues of 2025!

We have committed to these 8 sweet pups who found themselves at a rural county shelter that is overwhelmed and overrun with animals in need. We have to help and we have to make sure that these 8 innocent beings get their chance to live a long, healthy love filled life.

We will make sure they get everything they need but can only do this with your help!

Dogs and puppies just like this need us, and they need you, every single day. Without rescues like Fostering Foster Animal Rescue being able to help them, we can't imagine what could have happened but we don't want to find out either. Rescues are only able to save lives because of our community of supporters and donors.

Not long ago, Rosa was sitting in a high-kill county shelter on the euthanasia list — not because of who she was, but because she was sick. She was battling mange and ringworm, both completely treatable conditions, yet ones that too often cost dogs their lives in overcrowded shelters.

Today, Rosa is fully healed. ✨
Her skin has recovered, her fur has grown back, and her spirit shines just as bright as ever. She is safe, comfortable, and finally able to be the happy, loving dog she always was underneath it all.

Charlie is a lovable chocolate lab pup we rescued earlier in 2025. After losing his owner, Charlie faced the heartbreaking possibility of ending up in an overcrowded, high-risk county shelter. 😢 But thanks to our amazing community of supporters, we were able to swoop in and give Charlie the loving second chance he deserved!

Today, Charlie is thriving in his forever home, knowing what it means to be loved and cared for. There are countless dogs out there just like Charlie—deserving of a happy, healthy life but in danger of falling into the wrong hands.

Fostering Foster saves hundreds of dogs, pups, cats and kittens every year. Over 400 in 2025 alone. Dogs like Sprite who were alone, scared and had no hope.
