I'm always posting about shows I am doing but today I'm posting that I'm grateful to not have a show.....especially an outdoor one!

Well, that's it! My Summer 2024 season has officially ended with a fun block party in Cary, IL!

A fun weekend is ahead!
I'll be performing this afternoon at the Grand Regency Rockford assisted living parking lot carnival again!
The show is from 2:30 - 3:15.
Tomorrow and Sunday, I'll be performing my 45 min family show at the Grant County Fair in Lancaster, WI.
Saturday will be 11am, 2pm & 5pm

Huge, fun crowds at Venetian Night in Dixon today after a block party in Aurora!
It was kind of a last minute booking for 6:30 & 8pm on the river front.

It was so nice to wake up this morning to a wonderful review from a Family Reunion I performed at last week, after doing 2 back to back reunions on Friday.
I'm getting close to 100 reviews on Google!

What an amazing day, yesterday!
We had HUGE turnouts and wonderful audiences for both Discovery Center shows.
I then headed up to Janesville for a family reunion/birthday party at an awesome Airbnb farm house followed by another family reunion in a barn outside of Milwaukee.
Both of those audiences were absolutely AMAZING, too! So much fun...
Today is Villa Grove Library. Yup. I am lucky enough to be doing another Reading is Magic program, this afternoon at 4pm!

For the 2nd year in a row, my summer pretty much started here at Kresge Hall in the Discovery Center Museum and is beginning the wind down in the same place!
Shows today at 11am and 1pm.

It's only when you have a job like mine that you can borrow a dollar bill and have someone else rip up a dollar bill at the Kankakee County Fair AG Breakfast, in front of the Sherrif and get laughter and applause, rather than arrested!
Maybe 7:45am was just too early to break out the cuffs!

Okay....so....I lied....
Well, not really.
I thought my last library for the summer was the other day but it turns out I just booked some more today!
I'll be at the Winnebago Public Library (210 N Elida St, Winnebago, IL ) on Wednesday July 31st at 10am.
I'll also be at Ethel Everhard library (117 E 3rd St, Westfield, WI) on August 8th at 6pm.
It looks like there may be more in August, too!
I'll keep you posted.

Join NSLD at Anderson Japanese Gardens Thursday, August 8th, for a magical performance with Zack Percell of TNZ Magic.

It is a bittersweet day today as it marks the end of my 2024 Prairie Lakes Wisconsin Library "Tour".
I did 24 Story Wagon Shows for the system between June 10th and today and thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them!
Clinton was the last one again and while one of the smallest of the bunch, we had a lot of fun today.
Thank you again, Prairie Lakes for sponsoring these shows and passing on my name to other systems.
Tomorrow, I'll be down in Bartonville, IL at the Alpha Park Library at 6pm.
I can't wait!

Well, other than the rescheduled Clinton Library on Monday, that is a wrap for the 2024 Prairie Lakes Library tour!
I can't even express how much fun I had entertaining kids and families at nearly 40 total Library programs this past almost 6 weeks (over half were for Prairie Lakes). I had probably close to 2000 people see my show during that time and every single one of them was a BLAST!
I'm back home in Rockford tomorrow night at the YMCA NE Branch Movie Night after 7pm! It's FREE and open to the public so stop by, catch the show and the movie and say "Hello!".

We had a wonderful turnout in Evansville and we are expecting that again here in Janesville! Two libraries in the same city on 2 days....we shall see! The stage is set!

So much fun today at the newest addition to my Prairie Lakes Library Tour!
Today was Hedberg Express at the Janesville Mall where we packed the Center Court!
I was told it was by far their best turnout yet with many times the # of people in the audience compared to the other events they've had this year! Wow! Thank you so much to those of you who made it!
I'll be back in Janesville tomorrow at 2pm after Evansville's Eager Library at 10am and then Beloit at 6pm.
Busy day tomorrow!!

So, after a week off from library summer reading program shows, I'm back at it tomorrow and all the next 2 weeks!
Tomorrow is a new one, added to the Prairie Lakes tour this year. I'll be at the Hedberg EXPRESS Branch at 11am:
2500 Milton Ave, Janesville WI in the Mall Center Court.
Tuesday is Eager Library: 39 W. Main Street, Evansville at 10am
Hedberg Library: 316 S. Main Street, Janesville, at 2pm
&
Beloit Library: 605 Eclipse Boulevard, Beloit 6pm
Then on Wednesday at 2pm, I'll be at Edgerton Library: 101 Albion Street
Thursday is Milton Library at 10:30am: 430 E. High Street

On Friday, I'll be back on Rockford at the YMCA NE branch for Movie Night at 7pm
Finally, this week on Saturday I will be at the Fairview, IL Town Homecoming Celebration also at 7pm!

I'll be on the Small Stage from Noon to 1pm.
The stage is packed with entertaining shows before and after mine so stick around all day until the fireworks!

So, I just had a new-to-me honor occur by being asked and booked to perform for an audience of fellow magicians at a magic convention in Milwaukee, this fall.
It is not very often that I perform for audiences of mostly/all magicians and I wasn't even aware that enough others knew enough about me to even want me to perform at their event, especially since I've never attended this particular convention in the past. So, being asked to be part of the Gala show was quite flattering and exciting!

As the June portion of my library tour comes close to an end (more to come in July) with Oconomowoc, today at 1pm, I am super excited to announce that I just now signed and returned my 4th consecutive annual contract for another 60 shows this September and October at All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock!
Once again, I will be performing there every Saturday, Sunday and holiday from August 31st until October 27th!
Oh... Speaking of return performances, I'll be back at Lanark Old Settlers Days this Saturday at 2pm! I have been performing for the fun town festival for many years and we always have a blast under the big canopy, where we are sheltered from the seemingly inevitable hot sun or rain, each year.

Had a wonderful time at the Shorewood-Troy Library yesterday afternoon. We had a pretty packed basement room. Tons of fun!
Today was the last (ALREADY?!?!) of the June Story Wagon Series Summer Reading Program Library Magic shows! We had an AMAZING time in Elkhorn at the middle school, with a record of about 300 kids! Tomorrow I'm in Shorewood, IL at the Shorewood-Troy Public Library for my 1st time! Next week, it is back to Wisconsin for the Bridges System. On Monday, I'll be at Watertown (10am), Jefferson (2pm) and Whitewater at 4:30pm! 4 more Bridges System shows following those during the week. Stay tuned! I'll be back at Prairie Lakes again in mid-July!
I had such a wonderful time at Bingham Library today in Sharon, WI! Tomorrow is Elkhorn at the middle school right off of I43. Can't wait!
The newest part of my kids show (the new finale) involves a handkerchief that....yup....dances! So, I figured I should get the kids to get up and dance along with it! I really saw some moves today in Rochester, WI! The centipede kid had a great moonwalk, too!

The weather is nasty in Rockford today but it will be perfect inside The Moonlight Theatre tomorrow night at 7pm when I hit the stage for my full evening magic, mentalism and comedy show! Well, Tuesday was the end of my Corporate Awards Ceremony season I had booked through January. The last one was for Jersey Mike's Subs, in Bettendorf, IA. They were the smallest audience of them all but one of the most fun. I hope this GIF I created from the video of right after the end of my Dollar Bill routine works.
One thing I have noticed is that some clients that booked me for magic shows or I otherwise work with on productions,, occasionally also need radio, TV or internet ads created either for the events they book me for, or for something completely different. Here is a TV commercial I voiced, not for a magic client but for a regular VO client. Commercial work is my favorite kind of VO so I figured I should just put out a reminder.
