This weekend, the 4th stop on the Team Blackout 2024 Dockdogs Timeless Tour at DockDogs® DUEL IN THE POOL VIII @ TWI ASHLAND WCDH, Tara medaled in all three of her waves, 2 🥇, 1 🥈; Charli medaled her wave, 2nd! (There were only four novice jumpers in that wave, two were titled higher, so….. 🥈 for Charli! 😂)

Team Blackout had a great time at DockDogs® DUEL IN THE POOL VIII @ TWI ASHLAND WCDH in KY this weekend! Tin Woof Inn - Ashland is a beautiful facility! Thank you Morgan, Thomas, Tim, Alice, and all the Tin Woof staff who had a hand in making this such a nice event! Tara was the oldest dog competing, 14!, and had a lot of fun! This was only Charli’s second time on a dock, her first competition, first time at a pool jumping with Mandy, and she got a score! We’ll leave it at that 😂

Happy 14th 🎉birthday to sweet sweet Tara, our Super Hero! Dockdogs last specialty division is Hero, dogs 12 and over. Since the divisions are named every two years beginning at 8 years old, I’m naming a new division for 14,15 year olds 🤣. Welcome to the Super Heroes Tara!!! 💖

Tara is excited to be the dock star of Team Blackout's dockdogs 2024 Timeless Tour. Honoring our jumpers past (Zoey & Camden) present (Tara) & future (Charli). She already has two events completed, and her new T Bug's Tugs bumper will honor her team when she’s on the dock. We are looking forward to an exciting year!

Team Blackout had so much fun at Dockdogs at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair! Tara is all smiles after jumping and earning top hero dog, and Charli loved all the attention and watching horses. Thank you CDD, these cowbells are the coolest award! 🐾🐕‍🦺

Last weekend I had a whirlwind weekend, went to Sunshine in NJ for NADD on Friday, to Mandy’s in MD Friday night and Saturday, to DockDogs Sunday at Maggie Malick’s in VA, so a lot of fun was had! Tara enjoyed jumping and won top Hero Dog at Chesapeake DockDogs Puppypalooza, we had a private remembrance of Zoey (sure do miss her & Cami on our adventures), Charli got her feet wet on the ramp and great socialization, and Sydney is a budding little dog trainer! 💖🐕‍🦺🐾

Thank you Maggie Malick Wine Caves Mark & Maggie for all your years of support and fantastic events! Happy retirement!

Yesterday we helped Zoey cross over the rainbow bridge. 🌈 This is not something I expected to happen so soon. Just four weeks ago, we were at the Dockdogs World Championship for the final event of our Hero Dog Tour and to walk in the Hero Parade. I never imagined that would be her final event. Zoey, you have taken me on so many adventures all over North America and I have met so many wonderful people and pups because of you (even if you didn't like the other pups).

You always gave jumping your best, even if that meant leaving 3+ feet on the dock...we never could correct that after your slip at your second event. But you did learn how to have a good sit/stay on the dock after a lot of practice and 40 minutes of resetting you without letting you jump. You were not happy with me that afternoon. As you got older your jumps got shorter but you still had a nice little pop that would get oohhs and aahhs from the crowd.

Learning you had kidney disease last summer was tough, but we changed some things up and added in some new protocols and managed to keep your blood work steady for many months. Going in for a dental cleaning, the vet found a large tumor and removed it. I never thought it would grow back as fast as it did. Three weeks later and it was like it had never been removed. The vet said if she wasn't the one who removed it, she wouldn't have believed it grew back that fast. We spent the past week doing your favorite things... Gram got you a cheeseburger and let you steal it off the table, we went swimming one last time and got you a puppacino. It was clear you have been hiding being in pain when you didn't want to swim or eat your puppacino. Letting you go is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I hope you and Cami can have a nice snuggle after lots of swimming, stolen food, and treats on the other side of the rainbow bridge. 🌈 🐾

Stop #9 on the Team Blackout Hero Dog Tour - Chesapeake DockDogs Pondfest! Zoey and Tara both enjoyed their weekends jumping and Zoey was the biggest jumping Hero Dog at the event! Not bad for a 13 year old pup 💖

Stop 8 on Team Blackout’s Dockdogs Hero Tour with Carolina DD at the Carolina Pet Expo was emotional. It was our first event without Cami. Tim Lake sure did help make it special when Rhonda went up for her first jump with Tara; she wore a Team Camden shirt, Tara wore the first SuperFly Suit Cami ever wore, Cami’s collar, and did place and send with one of Cami’s squeaky balls. Tim’s announcing and caring is second to none, thank you!

Our hearts are broken. We said goodbye to our team cheerleader Cami yesterday. 💔 She was by my side everywhere I went, from 8 weeks old, as a UDS Service Dogs dog, and a K-pets dog. She helped so many people, adults & kids, in her roles with these organizations. She loved dock diving, when she wanted lol. She and Mandy were the Dockdogs 2015 Novice World Champions! And of course being my best girl. There will never be another one like you Cami! Until we meet again, 💖💖💖💖💖🎈💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Stop 7 on Team Blackout’s Dockdogs Hero Tour was a fantastic time at K9 Central in Ontario 🇨🇦 We saw people we haven’t seen in years, and met many new. Zoey & Tara jumped great, both made finals, but we weren’t there anymore 😢We had a bonus fresh strawberry season, yum. On the way to the border, we stopped to show Quinn Niagara Falls, stopped at a winery, and a distillery. Crossed into the US and smooth sailing home. Thanks to everyone for all your hard work putting on a great event!

Stop #5 on the Team Blackout Dockdogs Hero Tour was a blast! Codorus is one of our favorite events, and this year will keep that holding true. It was ridiculously windy, more like an angry sea than a lake lol. Unfortunately Cami the cheerleader had to sit this one out, not favorable weather for her breathing. Team captain Zoey was amped up as usual, and calm little Tara jumped in her titled division which doesn’t always happen anymore. Great weekend for dogs and humans!

Seems we never did a post about about stop #4 on Team Blackout’s Dockdogs Hero Tour 2022, what with that little tornado coming through and wiping out everyone’s canopies. Other than that, Puppypalooza was so much fun! Zoey, Tara & Sydney had a blast. Syd especially enjoyed hanging out with Dawn’s aunt! Always fun times at Maggie Malick Wine Caves!

For some reason it’s not letting me highlight it, her page is In The Mix. Fantastic workmanship! Don’t hesitate to have her craft something for you. She seems to be able to do this to almost anything! This video does not do the sparkle justice.

Team Blackout Dockdogs Hero Tour 2022 stop #3 was a blast! Zoey &Tara had fun jumping (yep, still loving it at 13 & 12 yrs old), Camden cheered, Quinn ran around, and we had fun seeing everyone especially those we haven’t seen in a while. Thank you to everyone involved in this huge event, the largest in Dockdogs history! BANA6 is already on the calendar!

Tara got more mail! At Worlds, the Legend (10 yrs) & Hero (12 & up) dogs compete together. Tara and Zoey are both Hero dogs this year, as will be their cheerleader at Worlds, Cami. This Hero Tour 2022 is going to be special! Next up, Bark at Noah's Ark 2022, YEAR OF THE YOUTH NC here we come!
