Duckopolis is a farm located west of Edmonton Alberta that breeds quality ducks, chickens, geese, peafowl, guinea fowl, turkeys, and sheep. Duckopolis is very excited to welcome our new sheep to the farm! Karen, Bob, and Outlaw! We are very excited to add Valais Blacknose Sheep to the farm and our new spotted babydoll ram!

Duckopolis is pleased to announce that we are now beginning the process of rebuilding our poultry flocks. We have made the difficult but necessary decision to focus first on the rebuilding of our duck layer flock. We will have hatching eggs and mature ducks available in 2025 from our selected duck breeds, however for the foreseeable future we will not be offering the variety of other heritage poultry that we have offered in the past. We will post announcements when we do resume our other heritage breed programs, and will be updating our website over the coming months to reflect our new flock and ordering options. We expect to have duck eating eggs available around March, hatching eggs for April, and mature ducks around September 2025. We will begin taking preorders for 2025 in January. We are taking names for our 2024 babydoll lambs! We will start lambing in May and have black, white, and spotted lambs available. All lambs will be registered with the OEBSSR, and will be ready at 8 weeks.

To our family, friends, and valued customers;
Duckopolis is very saddened to announce that due to the avian flu outbreaks that have been occurring this fall, we have unfortunately received a positive test from our flock. We are still going through the response steps with the CFIA teams, including contact tracing for any outside exposures, however according to CFIA protocols our flock will be depopulated as a result of this test. We are devastated by this news. As a result we will have no poultry available for the foreseeable future. We are committed to rebuilding our flock of quality heritage poultry once the appropriate waiting period and disinfection procedures have been completed. However the process of rebuilding our poultry flocks to the quality and variety that we have been able to offer in the past will likely take numerous years. We will provide updates as we are able to rebuild and restart. It has been our privilege for the last 18 years to supply you with your poultry needs, and we look forward to serving you again in the future. Thank you for your thoughts during this difficult time.

We were very excited to attend the North Peace Critter and Craft Sale today in Grande Prairie, however unfortunately we ran into some vehicle issues on the way to the sale and will not be able to attend.
