It's the time of year where I start to obsess over the weather! ☀️🥵🐶❤️
Most of my regulars know the drill now, but for any of my newbies.....

If it looks like it will be a hot day, don't be surprised if I turn up earlier for walks. I have to keep the dogs that are walked in the afternoon out of the hottest part of the day which means all walks are brought forward.

If an earlier walk means your dog is left alone for a long period of time, I spend my afternoon doing garden visits/toilet breaks for those dogs. (It really helps if you let me know when you are due home so I can time this for your pups)

I have to take into account that it is not just a walk in the sun but a van journey to collect their friends. 🐶❤️ I will only proceed with walks if it is safe to do so.

If you have any worries, concerns or cancellations don't feel bad, I love your dogs just as much as you do!! 🐾

Laura's Pet Services is 5 today! 🥳🎂🐾

Since being really young I wanted a dog more than anything in the world. I would make a wish on every birthday, and pester my parents and siblings (probably to breaking point 🤣). I hoped I would get someone to agree that our already busy household of 8 needed a dog.......
We got gerbils!!!

At 13 I worked in a dog kennels.
At 16 I went to agricultural college.
At 18 I worked at Pets at home.
At 19 I moved out of my parents home. Within weeks of moving out, a stray dog walked through the doors of Pets at home and helped himself to the pick and mix dog biscuits! We never found his owners and I had Leo for 11 wonderful years! ❤️🐶

It took me 4 years of being without Leo before I could accept that although no dog will ever compare to him, my life is better with a four legged friend. Enter Roxy!! The funniest, most loyal, yet sensitive friend.

When Roxy was 3, I set up Laura's Pet Services and was not only blessed with the best customers and dogs, I also gained Scout from one of litters that Darcey had!
My life is now full! 🐶❤️🐾

I just want to express that owning a pet is a privilege, one that I will never take for granted. Even when I have days with persistent rain and mud, my feet are swollen and my hips hurt 🤣 To be able to be trusted to be a part of your pets lives is the best feeling in the world. Thank you to each and every one of you for 5 amazing years!

This area at the edge of Bruntwood was always a lovely area to cut through and escape the mud for a minute. It was covered in young sapling trees and full of nature 🌳
Today they are all gone.😥 Billy & Scout kept me smiling though! 🥰💙💙

Terriers are the most sensitive dogs. I think I made both Gatsby and Reggie sad today in the terrible weather 🥺

Me, Alice and Nelly hit a really hot part of the day, so we hid in the shade in a really beautiful spot and spent our time paddling. 💧🐶💧🐶💧

Lots of swimming was had today and we all had a blast! 🐶🐶🐶🐶❤️ As always, I will keep an eye on the temperature this week and walk earlier or replace with a visit. 🥵

Teddy enjoyed swimming today whilst Alice and Nelly cheered him on. 💙❤️❤️
