Stuck at home today waiting on the car to be serviced, so we broke out the baby pool for the dogs. They helped water half the yard digging in the water and running all over the place 😆

Eisley the working Truffle Vlcak!

Truffle season ended weeks ago but Eisley still manages to find the odd ripe ones in acres of open forests.

Since this spring Eisley’s found about 4lbs of Washington Black Truffles totaling to nearly $2,000 just in the current local market. Way to go team!

Kitty is nearly 8️⃣ months old now

We've finished puppy manners & beginner obedience coursework with our local obedience club, and she's doing great in handling class. It's been a fun half year watching her grow up day by day into this now awkward stringy puppy 😀

She has a hygroma on one elbow so we're not sure when we're going to put her in the show ring but in the meantime we'll keep at it!

I can’t believe it’s June already!!! LIKE WHAT?? 2024 is halfway done already and so so many things we’ve been looking forward to on the horizon.. ok, gotta get up now and get back to planning.. 🛫 take off is in just 50 some days!

Congratulations to owner-handler Samantha S. and Greyfarer Bayou Queen ‘Eisley’!

As the sole breed entry, Eisley picked up Group placements at all four shows, including a 🥇 Group 1 under judge Barbara Burns towards her Grand Championship.

The show went on for so long that they skipped the win photo, so instead we’re sharing here this gorgeous photo of Eisley taken by Alicja Zmysłowska Photography (who returns this month to the states, offering sessions!)

Happy 10th Birthday to our Ronin 🎂

As he reaches his big 🔟 we wanted to highlight everything he and Marius G. have accomplished ❣️

Ronin came to us from the Czech Republic in 2014 and became the first Czechoslovakian Vlcak to trial in and title to the highest levels in UKC Nosework. In over 70 trials he maintained a 75% pass rate, holding all-element level titles in Novice, Advanced, Superior, Master and Elite Nosework, as well as the Superior Nosework Champion title with multiple High in Trials. Ronin is also a UKC Best in Show Champion. He has a wonderful trainer/owner and we are so proud of them!

Ronin has been retired for several years now and just enjoys the pet life nowadays. Happiest of Birthdays! 🎂 🎉

here, there.. just a couple updates this weekend

Greyfarer Ashira finished the requirements for her AKC Fit Silver by completing a 5k, a 10k, and a half marathon🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️ We’re in full marathon training mode!

Greyfarer Bayou Queen resumed truffle hunting quite late in the season and still managed to locate one beautiful Oregon Black Truffle this weekend.. Great job Samantha S. and Team Eisley!

Shasta debuted at the 2024 Klamath Dog Fanciers 75th Anniversary AKC Open Shows in Klamath Falls, Oregon this past week in the 6-9 Month puppy class.

Well, we did not see the Aurora Borealis here in Los Angeles, too much light pollution as Big Bear and even further south in San Diego mountains folks saw it!

But we do have Ibris’ advert which has very similar colors!! I think that’s pretty too 😅

We are so excited to share this!

Ibris received all results back from Orthopedic Foundation for Animals OFA and got her OFA CHIC number already ❤️

We aim to have her bonitated this summer in Slovakia and will attempt the SVP1 40km with her 🤞🏻

In Autumn 2024, we have provisional litter plans with her and a yet-unannounced stud we hope to meet this summer in Europe! So excited!

Quick morning treadmill run before we head out to the park 🐾 building up stamina and endurance in preparation for Ibris’ SVP1 40 kilometer run this fall

The SVP1 is a mandatory exam for obtaining a CSV’s breeding license in the FCI country of patronage, Slovakia, where we are also planning to run. Of course it’s not mandatory for us being from the states, but we’re always striving to meet milestones and the highest standards, not just the minimum 💫

Come this summer we’ll have lived in Europe for a total of over a year actually! That’s in between like nearly 20 visits to pick up puppies, to breed to some beautiful studs, to attend specialties, to experience the european show ring in FCI International Shows, and to learn about european, especially eastern, culture. Such interesting paths life takes us on..
. and I’m looking forward to our next trip in just 80 days 🛫 and of course my luggage list of things I have promised to bring various folks is filling quickly 🤭

Yes!! it is 😂 It's Syrak!!

We took him over to the AKC FastCATs this weekend too, just for a fun run. I wasn't even sure he would care at all about the lure, or about making an effort at all, besides finding somewhere to mark on the track 😅

he pleasantly surprised us and was interested! It's a miracle!! AND I HAVE PROOF HE GAVE EFFORT!! Look at his happy little face, lol!! we're planning to take him to the Mission Circuit trying for his BCAT at the end of the month!
