Reminder about tomorrow's meeting at Barbara's! If you would like to come early and train you are welcome to come train in the hayfield. If you are coming early please text Barbara 832-689-4967.

The meeting will be short as our focus will be cleaning out the trailer and taking inventory of items and needs. If you plan to come PLEASE RSVP here or by texting the number below ASAP as I plan to grill burgers and need to have the appropriate fixings and amount of food.

We plan to have burgers ready by 6:30 to grab, and then clean the trailer!

That's a wrap for our 2024 Spring Test!! A HUGE thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen every year. It takes a small village to get all this going every year and keep it running through the weekend. We had a solid group of judges that put on fair and challenging test all weekend. The handlers brought their A game as well picking up several passes across all flights! Thank yall for choosing to run our test. The weather wasn't perfect but we managed through it to keep everything moving in a seamless effort in my opinion.

A special thanks to the land owners, Gene Campbell at Oyster Bayou Lodge, Jesse and Brooke Kraehnke at Riceland Outfitters, and Will Beaty at Central Flyway Outfitters for the continued use of their properties so we can run dogs.

Handlers‼️ Please make sure to check in at HQ in the morning before heading to your flight. Those running Finished, along with other categories please go to your finished flights first after check in unless otherwise directed. Those with walk ups please have all your paperwork/information ready to go.

We will be selling Hamburgers,chips and drinks at HQ for lunch. Don’t forget about our Ribbon Ceremony, tailgate dinner and raffle after the days tests are over. So stick around!

Had a few questions about the forecast this weekend. It is showing rain and we will do our best to manage around it. Per the rule book test will be suspended due to lighting until we can get an all clear. Periods of heavy rain will be at the Hunt Test Committees discretion on how to proceed. Everyone’s safety is a top priority!! It’s Texas.. wait 5 minutes and the weather will change!

Running order is posted! Please double check it because there was a small change for the finished flights. Of course our Hunt Secretary will also be handing out everything the morning of check ins. Also check the premium on directions to HQ. The pin drop isn’t exact but will get you close. We will still be taking walk ups for Started each day.

FYI. We will not be handing out Purina dog food at check in due to supply.

Mark your calendars!! Our Spring Hunt Test is scheduled for March 16th and 17th 2024 in Anahuac, Texas. We look forward to another year of seeing everyone and watching some great dog work. You can enter at huntsecretary.com by the dates below.

Worker entries will open February 12th 7:00pm CST.
Public entries will open February 19th 7:00pm CST

Advanced entries will close March 5th.
