This is called the Oniscidae. You may find them under a brick or a damp object. You may have felt disgusted and wondered why they exist in nature. Well, let me tell you, the oniscidae , better known as cochineal, is a subgroup of isopod crustaceans whose function is to remove harmful heavy metals from the earth such as mercury, cadmium and lead. They contribute to the cleansing of soil and groundwater to reaffirm the wisdom of nature. Do not damage them or spray pesticides!

Hi folks! Just a little update. We've designed a greenhouse and garden installation to be built at a high school in Arizona with a reality TV show called the Fixers. Dates are Sept 16-21. Anybody want to come out here and volunteer?

IT'S A GO! SEPTEMBER 16-21 are the dates when we will be creating an installation of two greenhouses, gardens, raised beds, an irrigation system and more on the grounds of Red Valley-Cove High School in Red Valley, AZ, with four super-contractors known as the Fixers and a host of local volunteers. They will be filming the buildout for a reality TV show to be shown in Season 3 of The Fixers on the Brigham Young University TV Network (byuTV). This is the culmination of years of dreaming and planning to bring this exciting project the the Navajo Nation. The Nizhoni Garden Greenhouse project is becoming a reality!

Hey folks! Hello to all of you who remember Dr Dave and Jan from earlier days at the Bremen Street Garden. Thought you would like to see one of the projects we're involved with out here in Colorado...

A COUPLE OF DREAMERS. LaVonna George, farmer, artist, daughter and grand-daughter of Beauty Way medicine men; and Drdave, proponent of Food as Medicine, dreamer and organizer of projects big and small, outside the Red Valley-Cove High School in Red Valley, AZ. LaVonna's father donated the land for the school more than a decade ago. At the time, she vowed she would return to bring permaculture and local agriculture to the school. Today they are dreaming a project to bring a community garden project to the school, and help create a curriculum to enhance local agriculture and food production to teach high school students and others in the neighborhood. AND they may be getting some very exciting outside help. Watch this space...
