It took a week for you to build up the confidence to walk on your own. Two weeks before you gave us your first tail wag. 6 months when you first cuddled up with us. 14 months and we watched you run to us for the very first time and at 15 months we watched you play and get your first excited zoomie. The ultimate goal with every dog in our rescue is to find them their furever home. While we’ve had extremely shut down dogs before, never has a dog taken over a year to completely come out of their shell. The thought of placing you into another home and you having to go through another 15 months adapting and gaining your confidence again is something we aren’t willing to put you through. Linda we love you more than we can put into words and we would like to formally welcome you to your furever home. 🏡💛

Pet flinches when other dogs bark---pet maybe afraid of the other dogs but at this time in the sheletr there is no housing capacity w/o other dogs or aroom that is calmer . She is super sweet and mellow and just enjoys her comfy accommodations. This cutie is only 5 years old and is on her 2nd stint at the shelter. She was found as a stray in February, adopted in April and returned due to landlord issues. Notes indicate that she loves the company of humans - like a lot. She definitely needs socialization with dogs, because she just prefers to be with people. Sounds like she hasn’t been around a lot of dogs so she doesn’t know how to interact with them. Ruthie has been there for so long now and deserves a good home and family. She will love you to pieces. She is available now! Luili won’t give us any dogs because 1. Her overseas donators (whoever you are why don’t you come and see the dying dogs yourself) are angry because we don’t pay the dog meat dealers. 2. Because we don’t mention her name on social media. SO she lets them die. Refused to let us take dogs. This dog is dying and luili won’t let us take. I’m done! Done. Done. Done. So to the over seas donators who are little spy’s. Where the hell are your donations going? Because I have many videos of dead and dying dogs I just took from her shelter. Because of YOU these dogs now will die. You are dealing with a mentally unstable person and have no idea. Well f**king done. 👏 for the overseas arm chair warriors. This death is on YOU！

Posted @withregram • @dogmeetsfamily 🆘🆘🆘 Ringo is URGENT & needs a long term foster & reputable rescue to save his life. 72 hour notices went out for a bunch of dogs because the shelter is full. Ringo is only available to an approved rescue who is willing to sign an indemnity waiver. He was surrendered in a dirty state, and his owner claimed that he kept getting into fights with their other dog. Ringo has been scared at the shelter and needs some tlc. He was initially shy in the playgroup but then eventually engaged in happy play with the other dogs. He is labeled as social with other dogs despite the claims his owner made. However, he is rescue only due to those claims. He is on borrowed time, because his 72 hours is up. Please comment if you can help foster Ringo in southern CA! Last post: Ringo was surrendered on 4/30 but is listed as being on stray hold online. He was lying there so politely but then he started shaking. It just broke my heart. He is a 5 year old #sharpei #pitbull mix, and he’s just a doll. I don’t know how he is with dogs, but I know he’s not enjoying the loud surroundings at all.
