There are road-works on one of my main routes as I navigate the area I cover. This may have a knock-on effect so services today from a punctuality standpoint but I am confident of completing the working day.

The temperature isn't particularly high, but it is very heavy and muggy in the air, which brings it's own issues.

Depending on conditions I may shorten a walk or two.

Aware I don't post terribly often - social media isn't really my cup of Tea, so-to-speak.

Hi folks - now out of my immediate area due to 96 minutes of hard work, 2 wheelbarrows, 3 snow shovels and 3 helpers.

I know the answer is "cuts" but why the council refuse to grit an area full of the self-employed and the elderly is beyond me....

But there we are. I will fulfil as many of my work obligations as possible 🏆

Hi folks.

A lot of delays in the Newtownabbey area that will have a knock-on effect to elsewhere. An accident on the back road linking Jordanstown and Greenisland to Carrickfergus (Old Carrick Road) and an accident at Carrickfergus marina PLUS the ongoing roadworks on the Shore Road linking Carrickfergus to Whiteabbey means that things are very slow.

Expect delays if in the area and avoid it if you aren't.

Hi all.

There is terrible traffic disruption in Newtownabbey along the Shore Road from Carrickfergus to Hazelbank. Would avoid the area if possible.

For myself (relevant to clients) it's impossible for me to avoid due to the territory I cover. This morning the first dog I picked up was on the car for longer than I would ideally like.

As ever I will endeavour to keep the car as cool as possible but traffic disruption is beyond my control.

The works are meant to last for a 12-week period. I am not yet sure how I will have to modify the schedule (possibly earlier starts, possibly shorter walks, possibly loo breaks) to ensure the service remains up to standard but just now the situation is somewhat "up in the air" much to my frustration.

Should any regulars have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch via the usual Messages.

Hi all - I have been having a lot of trouble with the Messenger function on Mobile as I switch between my personal and business accounts.

As a result, I may not see messages sent on the day a service needs to be provided, so if any changes need to be made, please try to do so at least 24-hours in advance where possible, as I am only reliably getting messages when using a PC.

Hi all.

There is Hemlock Water Dropwort in the Antrim Loughshore vicinity - likely in other parts of Lough Neagh as well.

It's toxic to dogs if ingested and can be fatal if a lot of the root is consumed. These roots known as "Dead Man's Fingers" would look a bit like a white Carrot.

I'm not a Vet and thus can't give the most senior of advice on the degree of risk, but personally wouldn't wall my dog off-lead in the area - better still I'd suggest using a different spot entirely.
