🥰Attack of the cockapoo puppies 🥰
These three brothers are Reggie, Stanley and Benji, they are an absalute delight each time they come through our doors. They called in with their 'Pawrents' today to collect their monthly worming and flea treatments.
These three boys are full of character and badness and we just love them💙
‼️EAR MITES‼️
Ear mites are very common amongst pets, they are creatures that resemble tiny spiders and they live in your pet’s ear.
How can my pet pick these up?
Environment can be one way for ear mites to develop in your pets ear. Often they attach to your furry friend when they pass through areas of woodland and grass.
They are also passable from one pet to another but owners do not need to worry about catching them - most commonly ear mites can only be transferred between cats, dogs and ferrets.
Symptoms of ear mites to be aware of👀:
- Strong odor coming from the ears
- Black or brown waxy secretions from the ears
- Inflammation of the ear, including redness and the ear becoming hot to the touch
- Excessively itching, scratching or rubbing of her ears
- Shaking of head
Below is a clip of some ear mites our vet Catriona found on a little dog who came to visit the practice🐶
If you have any questions or concerns regarding ear mites and your pet, please contact the surgery and we will be happy to help🐾
