F1 Rio Robalo Asfraci juveniles.
Some of the juveniles are still a bit shy, but growing nicely! This is a first time offering of this species from this location. Just a magnificent species, in my opinion.
Enjoy!
Hi All,
It’s been a while since we posted a video, but want to share great news that this wild caught colony of our Tomocichla Asfraci “Rio Robalo” recently had a successful spawn!!!
The offspring video is in the next post, and will be on our next updated stock list!
Hello all, it’s been a while, but here is a video of our wild caught Kronoheros Umbriferum “Green Umbees” Rio Sansonsito with a new clutch of fry. Enjoy!
Kronoheros Umbriferum “Green Umbee” Rio Sansonsito
Here’s a short video of one of our green umbriferum breeding colonies collected last May from our trip to Panama. These fish were collected in Rio Sansonsito in very high, muddy water with a lot of effort and patience. A special thank you to Rusty Wessel for a memorable trip. After a year of care, these fish which were about 3/4 of an inch, are now displaying breeding behavior. Hopefully we will have fry soon. Enjoy!
Panamensis Wild Caught Beeding Colony
Cryptoheros Panamensis Rio Parti WC. This is a short video of our wild caught Panamense colony collected by myself and Rusty Wessel. While shy at first, they have quickly become acclimated and recently started spawning. Enjoy!
Nosferatu Bartoni pair guarding fry
Nosferatu Bartoni guarding fry. This is one pair in our wild caught colony of 16 fish. The colors of these fish are magnificent during breeding. Often times I am asked what is a good fish to keep in smaller tanks and this species definitely is on the list! Juveniles at 1.5” available now. Enjoy!
Criboheros Altifrons
Here’s a look at our Criboheros Altifrons “Rio Este” Panama breeding colony. A magnificent species that Chris Craig and I caught in our trip a few years back to Panama. It took a long time to capture these fish, as while they are clearly visible in the river, they are incredibly elusive even in shallow water. The profile and coloration of this fish is second to none in the Criboheros family. Juveniles from this group are available now. Enjoy!
Paraneetropulus Breidohri guarding fry
A quick look at a pair of Paraneetroplus Breidohri “Presa La Angostura” guarding their fry in our breeding colony. These fish have fantastic profiles, coloration, and good temperament which make them ideal fish to keep in smaller tanks. As an added bonus, our Paraneetroplus Bulleri colony is visible in the next tank. Juveniles of both available now. Enjoy the video!
Cincelichthys Bocourti colony
Here’s our breeding colony of Cincelichthys Bocourti. This group ranges from 10-15” in length and they are one of my favorite fish colonies to just sit back and watch. This fish is easy to keep, grows fast, and never causes too much havoc with other fish. Juveniles available up to 3 inches now. Enjoy!
