We are a group of professional animal trainers who utilize humane, ethical, and science-based techniques to train animals, and the people who care for them. Dog training not only makes life with dogs easier, it also increases the bond between guardian and canine. We love to watch that bond grow as well as tackling tough training challenges. Auggie has come a long way in a short time! His first time in the park he was frantically dashing around, pulling his owner over, whining, barking, and pulling toward every dog in the *very* far distance. His people have been working on reading his body language, playing pattern games that encourage relaxed observation, and putting him only in situations where he can be successful. Yesterday he could joyfully engage in these games with his handler while another dog sniffed around 20 feet away!

Guinness is an adolescent Great Dane who was recently adopted by his new family. He is a wonderful young boy, but being extra large, and without consistent training, he has some things to work on! We’ve been working on settling on a mat while his parents eat, and he is doing so well! It helps when you have a comfortable and non slip mat on hand! This one from is our favorite (not an ad, just genuinely love it)! It is light weight, and well cushioned, folds easily for travel, and has a non slip backing so it stays put even when a giant puppy jumps on and off. We love this mat! #253

❤️Happy Valentines Day!❤️ While we humans may think doggie kisses are the cutest, for dogs a lick is most often communication of discomfort! We call it ‘The Kiss to Dismiss’! Dogs will often lick their lips, and give ‘kisses’ to say ‘I am uncomfortable with this’ or ‘I’d like more space please!’ When it comes to dogs and babies, always keep an eye on your dogs body language like this, and help support them by asking them to move away from the baby, or remove the baby from their space. #253

This little baby is Atlas! He has been in our day training program since he was just 12 weeks old to build a solid foundation of skills that will help him become a great companion through out his life. Socialization is a big part of what we do with puppies at this age, and today we spent time at a local playground learning all about kids! Atlas aced it by watching calming, practicing behaviors, and settling on his mat. Couldn’t be more proud of this little guy! #253

Cairo is reactive to humans out in the world. In this clip you can see that there is a mail carrier which we’ve worked around earlier this session - Cairo can now easily look and dismiss at this distance. But then there is a beep from a package scanner, a new car pulls up, a new person gets out, AND they start talking! The triggers are stacking up! But of course, master genius Cairo really shines. At the end we joyfully move away to get some distance, take a break, and celebrate the win! #253

Meet Finn! Finn is a five month old Pomeranian puppy whose parents were struggling with potty and crate training. After a week of day training with Kay, they reported only one potty accident, and Finn is now going into his crate on cue! Finn is also doing a fabulous job learning foundational skills like hand targeting, sit, down, recall, and leash walking. We’re excited to be part of this little guys training journey ❤️ #253
